Ed , you will never know if you dont start it . SO GET INTO IT MATE. i take that it will be flathead or inline powered , i can hear ron i the background wispering Ed flathead ed flathead ed. but that injected INLINER is going to look way cooler ron. Mate what ever you decide it will be great when you finish it . NO RON NO, THE INLINER, THE INLINER RON....

Nope.....no flathead or inliner.....will be using the kit supplied Chevy 327CI V-8 with fuel injection if my other idea does not work....

Unfortunately I am not a fan of Flatheads or inline 6 cylinder engines, not having had the pleasure of hearing/seeing these run. Now a good Offy or DOHC Ford engine in a sprint would be a different story. A season plus of watching/listening to an Offy power sprint (Bromme Offy) in the old California Racing Association series, primarily at Ascot, a brief encounter with the Ford 4-cammer when USAC sprints hit Ascot in late 1972, though it broke early in the night, then a Champ Dirt car running against sprints during the 1973 and 1974 CRA/Ascot Salute to Indy 100 lap events over Memorial Day weekend those two years. Came across the line in second place in 1973 but was penalized several positons for passing before the green came out. And IIRC the late Don Hawley finished third in 1973. Hawley was the driver for both events.
Now if I could get my hands on two decent versions of these two engines I would be thrilled. But the budget is tight and will be this year....

Made some more progress....though not anything huge...
Started painting the frame...glued it together and will finish painting the frame once the glue dries...
Not sure when I will get this one finished as the modeling budget took a huge hit a week ago when someone attempted to break into my car. Amatuers did not get in, but will cost $500 to get the locks (3) replaced and coded.....
So chasing wheels for this kit will be down the road apiece....
Will post update pics in WIP section when the time comes....
