A couple more from my archives. The 289 is an AMT I built around 20 years ago. Found the pieces in a box, so I just put it back together. Got enough other projects, along with 3 other 289's! The 427 is the street version I did just to get a feel for the kit. Don't like the wire wheels on it, mainly because they would not hold up on the real ones. Thanks for looking.

The paint is horrible on the 427. Don't remember what I had used, but it was not good for model building at all. Did not sand well, did not shine up too good, and a couple of places where it got a little thin has brown tint to it.

Thanks for the input yall. I did break down and polish the 289 before I reassembled it. I like having some of my older work still around. As for the 427, my issue was the paint itself. Had used it on 2 other cars, plus some other things around the house. Was not happy with it at all. Ended up tossing the can, and can't remember the brand. I'm pretty sure it was an off brand. Lesson learned.
