....... in 1960, we lived in the small town of Canyon, Texas ............ which did not have a hobby shop ............. my dad worked in Amarillo, which was a city of about 100,000 eighteen miles north of Canyon ............. when AMT came out with the first of their "Trophy" series, the 1932 Ford Model B roadster, I just had to have one ........... my dad brought me a kit and like any 13 year old, I slapped it together ............ honestly, a pretty sloppy job

A few years ago I was lucky enough to find one of these original kits on Ebay.......... and I built it exactly as I had done 44 years earlier .......... same configuration, same colors, same everything .............. only this time, the results were a little better ............. it was such a thrill to build this kit again :D :D

Super clean build, and great story. Been feeling nostalgic myself, building another Lil Red Express wagon, my 2nd kit ever, and picking up 3 Johan Fury police cars, one of which will donate some parts to fix up an old build my dad made me when I was 4 or 5.
