I started with a J&S resin `40s flathead engine. The Revell `40 coupe and `48 Woody also have good engines. I like to use resin so I dont have to break open a kit just for an engine.
1-Assemble block and sand seams smooth. I added the water pump and intake. I painted it gloss red to represent a `48 for truck engine.

2- I painted the heads with Alclad Mag over dull alum. to represent `48 Canadian truck Hi-Compression heads.

3- This is the engine with a black wash on it.
