I started with a J&S `50 Ford Flathead engine. The one from the Revell `50 ford truck or Amt `49-`50 fords will work also. 1- Glue halfs together and sand any seams smooth, added oil pan and water pumps. I painted it Gloss Red laquer. ![]() 2- I cleaned up the J&S Ardun heads, drilled the exhast, Intake and water ports with a .063 bit. Painted the heads with Alclad Magnesium over Dull Alum. Valley cover sprayed the same. Valve covers were sprayed with Alclad Duro-Alum. Then they were glued in place. Be careful of the position of the heads , they can be mounted upside down. ![]() ![]() ![]() More to Come ;) |

Great start ............ just curious if the youngsters realize that "ARDUN" comes from zora ARkus DUNtov .............. yep they were designed by the man who would later become the "Father of the Corvette"
