Character Info Name: Emalla Brey Alias: Shadow Gender: Female Species: Human Age: 21 Home planet: Taris Faction: None Occupation / Rank: Sith Assassin Weapon(s): 2 x Lightsaber - Both blades emit a glow of violet, though one is a dark violet and the other light violet as a display of her neutrality and willingness to wield either light or dark. The light violet lightsaber also contains the Lorrdian crystal within it, meanwhile the dark violet lightsaber contains the Kasha crystal within. Both crystals help to focus one's self in battle so she can maintain a clear head and anticipate her opponents moves. 1 x Lightwhip - a dangerous and rare weapon, the lightwhip she found in reference items very few times in her training but focused carefully one what was said and through trial and error managed to create her own. It's pale yellow glow, almost white, was by her design a choice to make it shine very differently to her two main weapons. Of course just because it isn't a main weapon doesn't mean she isn't skilled in using it; on the contrary she can almost be guaranteed to be an expert handler of the weapon, learning from a child to handle whips until creating the lightwhip. It was her desire from a very young age to wield it and therefore she prepared herself for it. Ship: YV-929 armed freighter Personality: One thing Emalla doesn’t like is being considered either Sith or Jedi as she believes herself neither. While of course most might consider her a Sith, Emalla prides herself on choosing neither side over the other and instead focusing herself on learning all aspects of the Force she can commit to. Her dedication to learning all sides of the Force has given her an appreciation for having balance within the galaxy and therefore if needed she will choose a side to aid should the balance be disrupted. It doesn’t matter to her which side she might switch to depending on the situation as she has no ties to anyone or anything. Quiet and calm by general nature, she likes to look at things and assess from a distance before taking action. A thinker instead of someone who acts rashly. However just because she has no alignment or desire to help anyone doesn’t mean she fights without passion, for on the contrary she brings her own passion and focus to a fight. When she sets her mind to something it’s general difficult to sway her and only those she has any respect for may be able to sway her. Since it is very hard to get any level of respect from her, let alone trust, Emalla considers herself a lone wanderer. With no desires for company since she does not believe anyone to be worthy of her trust. Although she might not trust anyone Emalla does have a certain degree of patience and desire to pass on what she believes and knows. Her ultimate goal is to have others understand her motives and follow the same path. Of course while she does have patience for some she is also quick tempered in other ways. If someone is too thick or acts too idiotic she can easily loose her patience quickly and instead retort with a temper or do them harm. Also if someone contradicts or makes her out to be some sort of a fool she loses her temper, she does not like to be verbally or physically attacked and will gladly stop them by any means. Appearance: Brown eyes that match with her long, wavy brown hair. Emalla is slender in figure and well toned, athletic as per her training. Her skin color would have been fair in the beginning but time out under the suns of Tatooine for years has given her a permanent tan, though only adds to her appearance. When in combat mode or on a mission she has a preference for dark colors, mostly black, and tight fitting outfits. However when not on a mission or in combat she is stylish and doesn't mind the light colors either. Unique Markings: In the ancient Sith symbols the world Shadow is tattooed across the center of her back though very few would ever recognize or understand it and it's origins. Force-Sensitive: Yes Bio: Born on the planet of Taris, Emalla was the second daughter and middle child of a very poor family. They lived in the lower levels and her memories of them are only vague, mostly distant emotions and she can’t be sure what they really looked like. She was only 4 years of age when she was taken by slavers, intent on turning her into just another dancer or the like to get them extra credits. In a way she was lucky that they were attacked upon leaving orbit, some might consider it luck while others may not. Since the ship was so badly damaged in orbit it was unable to make hyperspace and was instead boarded by a group of pirates. Ultimately the pirate’s idea for the children aboard the ship was very much similar to the slavers, however crossing paths with a passenger the pirates had on board Emalla attracted a different sort of attention. Buying the young child off the pirates and taking her to his secluded home on Tatooine, Exavet Kuren took it upon himself to raise and teach the child with a strong connection to the Force. Kuren was an ex-Sith Master, who’s interest in learning from other cultures led him to stray from the Sith path and exile himself from the rest of the galaxy, only taking time to travel and learn more from other Force Sensitive cultures. Since the former Sith Master had learnt much in his 58 years of life, both from the Sith and other Force Sensitive cultures, including the Jedi, he had a vast resource of knowledge to pass on to Emalla. Her beginning lessons were in learning the unreliability of others, Kuren insisted that it was the lesson she most needed to learn in her early training so she would never make the mistake. He also made certain to teach her that the Force could never truly be eliminated, despite the hard efforts of the Federation and those like it, Force cultures would always survive as would the Force itself. Many Force cultures had gone into hiding and while Kuren didn't believe they should be such cowards, he also advised caution and to leap from the shadows. Force training was her first and foremost focus of training. Using Force abilities and making them a part of her lifestyle as well as future fighting style. She was quick to agree with this outlook, pointing out that a lightsaber could not bat away all the Force powers that she could throw at an opponent. A quick learner both from her gift in the Force and ability to control it with ease, as well as her intelligence level which would be considered above standard and more onto a higher range. Kuren was pleased with his find and continued to push her. Her nature of being determined and focused to reach her goals and beat all the expectations also added to it all and so she was a fast and thorough learner. Eventually she was old enough to start learning how to wield a lightsaber and she was given her first practice one. During her early teachings she'd already chosen to one day wield a lightwhip and was particularly skilled in whip wielding so she needed to instead focus on lightsaber and swordsmanship. Feeling unbalanced with just one, she was quick to take up a second and feel more balanced and able to move more precisely with two. Of course while she was a quick learner she didn't really set her mind fully on lightsaber combat, preferring instead the use of Force powers. As it was Kuren went along with this, deciding her skill with the Force would be her mastery rather than with a lightsaber. Of course they didn't stop lightsaber training altogether but simply did not focus on it as hard as they did the Force. On her 18th birthday her present was quite the shock. Having learnt all she possibly could from her Master he decided to demonstrate the ultimate betrayal, making absolute certain that she never trust anyone completely. The two engaged in a fight to the death, however to his surprise and also to his pleasure Kuren was easily defeated by his Apprentice. It was her skill with the Force and ability to defend with lightsabers that brought him to his end. During the match he stated that he foresaw her becoming a source of fear in the galaxy and that she would do him proud, should she survive the match. As it was she did not kill him instantly but rather take him in her arms and hear his last words where he stated that she had done well and will walk her own path provided she remains focused and undistracted. Taking all his teachings and his last words to heart, Emalla set off to become the woman she was trained to be, the woman that she wanted to be. Keeping her base in the desert of Tatooine, in the home where she was raised, she was given all the things left to her by her Master and all the things she had created for herself. From there she has been going out in the galaxy, watching and waiting for the opportunity to make her mark. Occasionally doing odd jobs for credits and to keep herself in the galaxy action as a whole, from smuggling jobs to assassinations. She waits for the moment where things will hit the all important crossroads and then she can take matters into her own hands.
