I can't get Fallout: New Vegas, it costs too much money, but if it's as good as or better as Fallout 3, I'll try to pick it up.

Comes out tomorrow. Probably won't get it immediately. Friend lent me Fable 2. I know if I buy New Vegas I'll put down Fable 2 and won't touch it for months. Want to play through it before getting a new distraction.

I'm not buying it because I'm buying Fable 3... and Rock Band 3.

Halo: Reach ... I am disappoint with my $60 spent on you.

don't get me wrong, multiplayer in phenomenal (when fucking odd ball or CTF don;t get voted in) but the campaign felt severely lacking.

Yes, but did you really think it was going to be $60 worth of awesome?

all the video's i downloaded showing me the making of's and all the care they were putting into it bolstered my faith in this one. There are several things that I really like about the campaign, but it didn't fulfill their promise. Ended up mechanically sound (elites were very challenging opponents and I found myself using cheap tactics on higher difficulties. the armor you could specialize your character with for multiplayer appeared on you in campaign, which made the experience more immersive) but the narrative fell flat in most places. I never got the sense that my world was being destroyed, the characters could be summed up as overblown stereotypes, all the levels were very cut and paste within the Reach universe in some sections and downright annoyingly similar to older levels from the Halo franchise.

There's only two recent games I feel I've juiced the full 60$ out of anyway: Halo 3 and Left 4 Dead.

There are a few games I think I've got my money's worth out of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ($30), Left 4 Dead ($40), Halo 1 & 2 (3 is debatable), Goldeneye (5 or $10 I think. maybe free), Final Fantasy 7 ($15 I think), Final Fantasy 8 (yes, I enjoyed the game...once, $7), and Time Splitters: Future Perfect ($15).

There's probably more, but that's all I've got for now.

Red Dead Redemption might've been worth $60 if I could ever get some time to freakn' finish it.

I'm more discriminating about the games I purchase so I'm more willing to drop three-score dollars on a game. Plus, as a genre, post-apocalypse is pretty damn hard to ruin. Even if the game isn't as good as Fallout 3 it should be worth $60.

Typical Bethesda (and typical Obsidian too). Wait a week or two and they'll have patched the glaring things.

still annoying as piss when i play oblivion years after the fact and the damn thing still chugs at certain points and has a tendency to freeze after completion of ridiculously arduous/lengthy/stupid quests. or right before i think about saving.

and some of the DLC i got for it is laggy as hell.

What about The Pitt was buggy? I don't recall having problems with it.

Must've been when it first came out. They were saying the go to locaton didn't work/freezed when you used it, was one I remember.

But that from reviewers/a friend when it first came out. They probably patched it.

Well, I tore through Fable 2. Short story line. I'll probably dick around in it for a few more days and then get Fallout on Friday. I suppose there are papers I could start writing and textbooks I could review in this spare time before I sacrifice my free will to Fallout, but that isn't likely to happen.

was fable two worth it? bound to be pretty cheap at this point.

It was enjoyable but I don't think it lived up to the hype. Solid game but the way everyone talks about it I was expecting more.
