The questions they asked were strange... and I had to play a round of Rock, Paper, Scissors in order to guess a question.

Just beat the game. Managed to keep all party members alive. Almost lost one and that would have been annoying, but apparently I got lucky. :)

Also, I think this qualifies as a a Crowning Moment of Funny. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjIcFATxrus&feature=related

I just started Mass Effect (1). Didn't want to play 2 without 1 and wouldn't want to play 3 without 2. Playing the Vanguard class.

I think you are the first person I've ever seen play as a Vanguard first go round.

was that the "i'm a soldier and I use guns" class? that's where I started in ME 1.

I am also playing the vanguard class, but I may start again. I can't get my character to look like me to save my life.

I also wanted to start over so that I could get everything in one gulp. I'm borrowing the first game but I may not get to it immediately.

No, that's the Soldier class. Vanguard is the Biotic/Combat hybrid.

Same here.

Though I tend to always play as an Infiltrator in the games now.

I started as a soldier in ME1 but biotics are such a fun element of the game, so I changed my class to Vanguard in ME2. Looking forward to the next round of DLC. Speaking of which, anyone download the Overlord expansion? Quite well done in my opinion.

ME2 looks amazing based on the demo. But...the money... D:

It's the only expansion I don't have. :(

my brother now has mass effect 1 and im considering playing it, only problem: the brother be heading off to college fairly soon, so id have a time limit (not something i like when playing games). there is also a slight conflict in that im currently playing disgaea, and dont want to put that on hold while i try mass effect...

mass effect is one of those RPG types with a breadth of things to do. I'm not sure how long it would take to burn through the campaign (also not sure how fun it would be to hustle though). You might find yourself getting into a few side missions and neglecting the campaign, then be left wanting more when your brother leaves. At least that's how I always end up. Accidentally starting a side mission and having an irrefutable compulsion to finish it.
