It was a sunny day, a few white clouds in the sky. Kallari was at peace, as so were the plains and deserts around it, today could have been considered the world's day off as everyone slept late, and relaxed not a person would have been found anywhere inside, or even around the city....An exception being one man... Standing beneath a lone tree on the outskirts of the city. The tree stood tall in a grassy plain, it had amazingly grew to stand mighty 30 feet tall, it's branches and leaves spreading far out around creating plenty of shade, a well wanted thing on such a hot day. But the man stood beneath the tree for other reasons than just the shade it had provided. The man stood, a mighty blade was leaning against the tree, to the left of him. A book was in his hands. The book was obviously very old, for the title and authors name had faded away, however the book it's self was in great shape... All seemed to fall silent as the man started to read the book out loud... "Once upon a time, there existed a giant tree, that was the source of mana. A war, however, caused this tree to wither away, and a hero's life was sacrificed in order to take its place. Grieving over the loss, the goddess disappeared unto the heavens. The goddess left the angels with this edict: "You must wake me, for if I should sleep, the world shall be destroyed." The angels bore the Chosen One, who headed towards the tower that reached up unto the heavens. And that marked the beginning of the regeneration, of the world..." The man stopped after reading this, placing the book by his side as he looked up at the mighty tree, letting out a sigh before looking back down, as he noticed a person had been watching him for some time now... "Is there something you wanted, or did you just come to listen?" |
