A Mekkai is essentially the other part of a demon, and is born to perform a specific task in the world. It can be as big as saving someones life or as little as saying something to someone. Whatever this purpose is, it has to be fulfilled for the world to proceed smoothly. A Mekkai can be with a full breed demon or a half-breed. Though only descendants of the Kunnon Demons can be halves and still have a Mekkai. Mekkai can be killed in usually only two ways. 1. Their heart, it's a glass orb that hums instead of beats. If a human hand touches it it shatters and the Mekkai is dead forever. Demons can touch it, but it hurts, and if it falls they're a goner as well. 2. Their weakness. A weakness could be anything... A Mekkai could die from drowning, or being blown up from the inside. Perhaps the soul of the Mekkai has to be captured first before the body can die. If a Mekkai is killed by it's weakness, there is still a chance that a very, very powerful Earth Elemented Mekkai could bring them back to life, provided their heart is still intact. About hearts... A Mekkai doesn't have to have it's heart inside it's chest for it to live, unless having the heart removed is it's weakness. In Kioule, it's considered a show of extreme affection to give your spouse/lover your heart in exchange for theirs, literally. They don't have to cut themselves open to get it, a Mekkai can simply reach through themselves to get the heart, but that is the only time they can do that. (Unless they're Air/Wind Elemented and managed to get the ability to pass through things.) Generally, Mekkai are pretty peaceful people. They don't really go out of their way to start a fight. The exception is of course, Woolein. Woolein is pretty much the exception to just about every rule... Normally Mekkai are pretty much immortal, save for the things mentioned above, but a Wooleinian Mekkai can die of old age or be killed any way a human could. (Old age is a few hundred years for them, though.) Regarding Mekkai Deaths Nothing really happens after a Mekkai dies, however; if that Mekkai hadn't completed it's mission, the mission may go undone and cause seriously bad effects on the world. If a Mekkai is killed using it's heart, the heart works sort of like a genie. The killer is granted one wish, only one, after that the Mekkai is gone for good. The Shikoru of the Kioulian Mekkai Their Shikoru are large round circles with designs in the middle. Any design is welcome as long as it doesn't include triangles of any sort. Those are reserved for the royalty. -------------------- Feel free to ask any questions regarding Mekkai here. If you have questions regarding rules, try to ask them in the rules topic, but here is okay. Edited by Isho, Jun 10 2009, 07:22 PM.
