And so, the Midnight guy's pokeball took 3 months to finally reviel a Pokemon I hadn't seen before. "Well, finally... why'd you get those slow Pokeballs anyway?" I asked. "Well, they were on sale, and I figured it'd be a good deal." He replied. "Ya, I guess, but maybe you should reconsider. Anyway, do you wanna put away the cards, or save them for later." "Naw, I'll take care of them after the battle. No worries." Plot irrelivant conversations aside, I pulled out my Pokedex. Singelark: 5'5'', 89 lb The Black Hole Pokemon Dark Space Type When this Pokemon opens it's large mouth, it has the ability to suck pretty much any object to itself in order to deliver harsh dark and space type attacks at close range. Though it seems to have a never ending appetite, it does eventually get full. I sent out Marill. "Marill, hit it with Water Gun!" I commanded. Marill fired a jet of water at Singelark. It seemed unphased at the attack. It seems this Pokemon is several levels higher than mine. I wasn't entirely sure I could win this fight. "You know, I don't think it fair for me to totally waste you since you have weaker Pokemon than I," he started to say, "Why not send out more than one." "But, the official rules state that..." "Hey! Is this an official battle? No." "Fine, I'll listen to the bad guy... wait, that didn't come out right..." L| I then sent out Gastly and Zubat too. I then wondered if the Sprockle wanted to help me, but it seemed to have gone away. I wonder why... "Singelark, suck them in and use Big Bang!" Big Bang: Space type attack A big explosion that causes more damage the closer the foe is to it. Yipes! "Everyone hold on to something!" Marill quickly hopped in one of the crates with Pokeballs, Gastly hid behind a pillar in the corner of the room, and Zubat flew up to the ceiling. "That was close" I said to myself. Suddenly, I was moving. "Oh right, his sucking doesn't suck only Pokemon. I managed to grab on to one of the floor boards. "Clever," the Midnight guy then said, "but not clever enough. Suck harder Singelark!" It did so, and soon everything in the rooms started heading for it. The floor board then snapped, and I was sent toward it. Suddenly, the Sprockle came out of nowhere and tackled the Singelark, thus stopping the sucking. The room was now a mess filled with Pokeballs, wood, and steel pieces. Also, the floor board I pulled pretty much toar a hole in the floor. I looked down. I could see Taz being attacked by other Midnight members. This Pokemon was too strong for us to fight. We had to get out of here. I called back everyone but Marill. "Marill, Water Gun those guys down there." I said as I leaped down to the first floor. The Midnight members fell to the floor by the force of the water, giving me time to run over to see if Taz was ok. "Singelark, suck up those wood and steel pieces and use Spit Up on them now!" the Midnight guy yelled. "Uh... Taz, now would be a good time to get up and help me out..." {to be continued} |

I, who had gotten up months ago was completely fine. Apparently Aipom was still mad so he clunked me in the back of the head for some reason. Stupid Aipom... Anyway, then I saw Andy."Yay! It's you!" I said as I saw Andy. "Seen any ghost pokemon around?" I asked just before I saw the Singelark. "Oh...." I said as I stared in awe. "Ghost Pokemon!" I yelled happily. "Aipom!!!!!" Aipom yelled angrily. Then it started to attack, and it didn't look good. Growlithe gulped loudly as he saw the metal and other stuff build up in the Pokemon's mouth. "Lets see how he likes hot metal in his mouth..." I grinned. "Growlithe! Ember into his mouth!" I said. Growlithe nodded and then fired ember into the mouth of the Singelark. The metal hit the Singelark, but didn't do much damage. Other small flames went into its mouth, and that seemed to do the most. Yet he wouldn't stop the attack. |

Great. Now burning pieces of metal and wood are flying towards us... "Way to go Taz..." Wait a minute, heat may not affect it, but blocking it's vision might. "Marill Water Gun those pieces!" I shouted. The blast of water hit the scalding hot pieces of metal and created large amounts of steam. "Quick, lets get out of here Taz! You know, before we are stuck here for another month or 3." We both ran out and managed to get away. We then headed to town. |

After months of standing outside with Taz, I realized that she was no longer there. "WTC, where did Taz go." I cried as I turned around to see Cor and Taz running toward me. I met back up with Taz and Cor and we headed to the the pokemon center. They told me about there previous encounter so we healed our pokemon as fast as we could and got out of there. We were almost out of the town when we were attacked by a Team Midnight Member. He saw my Abra and wanted it (of course :p), but like I would let that happen. So the battle began. I sent out Sneasel. He sent out a Machoke (but it looked different, like a dark aura), it jumped at Sneasel, I recalled it and sent out Abra. Abra fired a powerful Psycho Shot. It hit, but the Machoke shrugged it off. "Machoke, use Shadow Rush!" yelled the Midnight Grunt. Machoke started glowing black and charged at Abra. "Abra, use Telepo..." I began to yell. Abra wasn't fast enough, she was hit. She flew into a nearby tree (yay for plot devices) and something shiny fell out of the tree. I picked it up and looked at it. It was a TM for Return. "Awesome, Abra, do you want this. It is a move based off of your friendship with your trainer." I yelled to Abra. "Sure, you are the trainer, you choose my moves. Duh. Lol." Abra replied in her usual tone. *Abra learned Return* "Abra, get up and use Return" I said. Abra jumped up and charged at the Machoke, fainting it instantly. "This battle is over. I won. Now get out of our way." I yelled as the grunt ran away. I then went back to join Taz and Cor in once again trying to leave this city. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pokemon in Party ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A level 10 Male Shiny Dragosaur A level 10 Female Frish A level 12 Female Talking Abra A level 5 Male Sneasel A level 3 Male Sonicog ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pokemon in Box ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ None ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Badges ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ None ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

"Yay! A safe pokecenter at last. I'm just sad I never got a ghost pokemon..." I said with a sigh. "Too bad nothing exciting happens around here!" I said. Donphan, Aipom and Growlithe where out of their pokeballs, so I returned Donphan. (I just noticed recently that my Donphan is way too low of a level to have evolved form phanfy... oh well.) "Hey! You!" Someone yelled. Quickly I looked behind and saw a guy, obviously from team midnight. "Whaaaat?" I moaned. "Gimme all your pokemon!" He said. "What? Are you crazy?" I asked. "Um... Wait, leme think... Uh... Oh! No, no I'm not." The man stuttered. "Right..." I said, really not convinced. He sent out a Scyther and I sent out Growlithe. There was something strang about this scyther, he had a wierd dark glow around him. Then Growlithe charged at him and jumped up then bit his head. The scyther shook his head rapidly but Growlithe clung. Then He slashed at Growlithe, knocking him off of his head. Then an ember of flames came from Growlithe and hit the scyther. Quickly the Scyther attempted to counter and charged at Growlithe, then slashed. Growlithe quickly ducked and dodged the attack, then bit hard on Scyther's leg. The Scyther screamed in pain, then Growlithe swung him around and into a tree, knoccking him out. "Haha! Good job Growlithe!" I yelled. Growlithe ran over to me and jumped in my arms. The Team midnight man glared than ran off. Jesus Fanatic Nor: Taz, do you know where I got the Dark Aura stuff from...? Well, there from Pokemon Colloseum and XD. I just figured I'd give Some Shadow Pokemon to Team Midnight. Taz: Oooh. Well, that Scyther had it then

Now that Team Midnight was gone, we could finally focus on being the best trainers ever (or something like that)! I decided to rush out and look for the gym. After about an hour of searching, I then realised that I was in Cherrygrove City, and there was no gym. L| I ran back to the Pokemon Center to find that Taz and Nor were still there. "Hey guys, we should probably head to Violet City now and get that badge before something enevitably happens that causes us to lose lots of ti..." I suddenly caught sight of someone across the room that I knew and forgot to finish that sentence. "Kor? Is that you?" I yelled across the room. The place was huge, so it echoed and everyone looked at me. Kor turned around and saw me. He smirked. "They let just about anyone become a trainer these days don't they," he said as he walked over, "I still can't believe they let someone like you into PAU at all." Suddenly I remembered that Kor was my biggest rival, and I probably shouldn't have called to him. "I don't see why they wouldn't let me in, they let everyone in who wants to." "You don't exactly count as part of everyone, since you're such a nobody. You and your Pokemon couldn't battle your way out of a paper bag." "Yes, well, at least I can battle my way out of an air bubble..." "Man, your come backs are just about as lame as you are. Anyway, I'm out of here. The scent of loser in the air is starting to make it hard to breath." With that, he walked out the door laughing in his usual laugh. "Who was that?" Taz asked. "He's just some jerk who thought he was better than everyone else at PAU. For some reason he picked me to rival. I don't really care, I mostly just ignore him. He even ended up with a nickname similar to mine somehow. His real name is Ron though." "He sounds like a fun person to be around." Nor chimed in. "Well, whatever. Lets head to Violet city before we get stuck here for X amount of months again."

"To Violet City we go!" I said. Growlithe barked in agreement, wagging his tail rapidly. "And I'll beat you all there!" I said with a grin. With that I dashed out of the pokemon center and sent out Ponyta. I climbed on happily and pat his neck. "Good boy! Hyah! Giddyap! Lets get going!" I said. I dug my heels into the Ponyta's side. Ponyta neighed with enthusiasm then reared up. I clung to my seat and his landed back on the ground. I got ready for the huge boost of speed Ponyta would soon do. Then, Ponyta began to walk slowly forward. I sighed quietly. "Faster! We won't beat them!" I said. Yet, Ponyta just slowly continued to walk. I sighed again. I looked down at Growlithe who followed loyal beside me. "Alright, well, we'll get there eventually." I said. Yet, I began to wonder if I could beat Andy and Nor there at this pace. |

"Oh, so it's a race you want, huh?" I said with a competetive voice. Hmm... I have a problem though, none of my Pokemon can help me get a speed boost... Suddenly, I noticed that Kor was outside still looking like he was in a battle with something... but I saw no other trainer... I walked closer to see that he was battling a Sprockle. Not just any Sprockle, this one looked exactly like the one that helped me in the abandoned power plant. I wondered where he went... L| "Duskull, use Night Shade on that Sprockle!" Kor commanded his Duskull. The Sprockle quickly dodged the dark wave attack that Duskull fired out of it's single eye and saw me in the distance. Immediatly, it ran towards me. It was at this point Kor noticed me. "You again? Can't you leave me alone, I'm trying to catch this Sprockle." The Sprockle looked at me. For some reason I felt that the thing wanted to go with me rather than Kor. I couldn't let Kor catch this Sprockle before I did. "Not a chance, this Sprockle wants to be with me, and not you." "Oh really. Fine, lets fight for it then... 2 Pokemon each." "You're on!" I quickly sent out Gastly and Zubat, and Kor sent out some Pokemon I hadn't seen before. Therpent: 13'8'', 142 lb The Temperature Snake Pokemon Fire Ice Type This two headed Snake Pokemon is similar to that of a Thermometer. One head is blazing hot, while it's other head is freezing cold. It tends to freeze it's foes and then attack with blazing fire attacks. "What the heck is that thing?" I yelled, kinda scared by it's sharp (both burning and frozen) fangs. "Just a Pokemon I got from a friend. Go get that Sprockle Thermpent!" The Sprockle then got scared and started running towards Violet City. Well, I was going this way anyway. Thermpent's ice head fired an Ice Beam in Sprockle's direction. It managed to barely dodge the frozen beam of ice by swerving out of the way. Kor hopped on Thrempent's back, and began to chase it. "Hey Duskull, take care of Cor for me will ya?" The Duskull started towards us with it's eye in a dark blaze of anger. My Gastly suddenly perked up and began floating towards it. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that these two were rivals as well. Ironic is it not? L| "Gastly, you think you can handle this Duskull while I go save Sprockle?" Gastly nodded. With that, I ran over to Taz, who hadn't gotten very far on Ponyta. "Hey, um, could you do me a favor, and help me chase after that creepy snake thing?" ... Oh, and James was there too. L| {To be continued...} |

"I'm on it!" I said enthusiastically. I sent out Aipom and he quickly climbed onto of Ponyta. "Lets go Ponyta, we've got a creepy snake thingy to catch!" I said. Ponyta neighed happily and, to my surprise, he started galloping off. Aipom climbed on top of Ponyta's head using his tail to balance himself. Ponyta's gallop was fast. In the distance I saw Kor. "Alright Aipom, when we get close you're gana jump on him." I said. Aipom made a slight squeak of agreement and we slowly began to catch up with Kor. ((Well, uh, I left you behind... So you'll just have to run |D )) |

After standing in the same spot for a few months and missing out on a bunch of things, I decided to move. I needed something fast, so I sent out Sonicog. I grabbed a piece of wood from a shed nearby. I also grabbed a rope. I tied one end around Sonicog and I grabbed the other end. "Sonicog, use Ice Blow and then run on it. Chase that snake thing." I yelled to Sonicog. "Son" he responded as he fired what looked like frozen mist out of his mouth. We were then quickly catching up with Taz and Kor. "This is turning into some weird Pokemon Version of Wacky Races." I said to myself as I was chasing a Ponyta who was chasing a Thermpent who was chasing a Sprockle. What's gonna happen with this chase? Also, Taz...now that Aipom has an evo, is yours gonna evove? |

I felt left out. "Aw, come on guys, he's my rival..." I said to myself since both Taz and Nor were way ahead of me. I looked to my right. Gastly was still fighting the Duskull. Gastly quickly rammed into the side of Duskull knocking it back a bit. The Duskull then got ready to use Shadow Wave. Shadow Wave: Ghost Type Attack: Sends out dark pulses that cause damage and could scare the opponent stiff. The dark wave flew fast at Gastly. He took the hit and crashed to the ground. "Gastly!" I cried as I ran over to help. Gastly got up and pushed me away. It seemed to want to fight the Duskull on it's own. The Duskull had other plans, and proceeded to lunge at me. It then fired Disable at me. I was hit and fell backward. I couldn't move. "Hey! What's the big idea?" I yelled at it. I guess Gastly got it's wish... Gastly charged up a Shadow Ball. Duskull then quickly did the same. Both fired at the same time. They both hit and created a large blast of darkness that knocked them both down. Gastly lunged at Duskull with a Lick attack, and smacked it back down to the ground. Both Pokemon looked quite injured. I didn't know if Gastly could take anymore of this. Suddenly, the Duskull got up and used Curse. A black wave hit Gastly and it was down. Duskull KO'd itself, but put a Curse on Gastly. "Gastly!" I cried again. I tried to get up to help, but I couldn't move. Then I remembered that I had sent Zubat out too. "Hey Zubat! Can you get into my bag and give Gastly a Potion?" Zubat squeaked and flew over to my bag. He grabbed a potion and attempted to spary the potion on Gastly the best it could (yeah, it would be kinda hard to do with wings and no actual arms ).Gastly got up, but it was still cursed, and I still couldn't move. How could I chase Kor now? ... Meanwhile, Sprockle was still running away from Thermpent. "Fire another Ice Beam at it!" Kor commanded. The cold beam struck Sprockle this time, who was tired from running so much. Sprockle was frozen solid! "Perfect..." Kor got his Pokeball ready to throw, but at that moment, he noticed Taz catching up behind him... ... Still unable to move, I had Zubat get Marril out of it's Pokeball, and had both of them put me an Gastly onto a cart that was nearby. Marril got on the back of the cart and used Water Gun to push us forward. Zubat stood on the handle and guided the cart along with it's wings. Gastly looked in quite large amounts of pain. I wanted to help it, but I still couldn't move. I could see Kor's Thermpent in the distance. They had stopped for some reason. I then hoped he hadn't caught the Sprockle yet. "Don't worry Sprockle, I'm coming... sorta..."

((I'm not sure... Depends on what his next form looks like
))"Alrigh, go for it Aipom." I said. Aipom let out an excited, 'Aipom'. Ponyta threw his head forward at the same time that Aipom pushed off, getting him extra distance. He flew forward and landed on the back of the Thermpent, right behind Kor. "Aipom!" Aipom said enthusiastically. He twisted his tail around Kor and grabbed hold of the pokeball with his tail and began to try to pull it away from him. At least this would distract him for a little. Meanwhile Growlithe, who was able to keep up with Ponyta's pace, jumped in-between Kor and the Sprockle. He growled at Kor viciously with defense. |

The cart came to a stop a little ways from where Kor was. I could begin to move slightly now, but it wasn't enough to get out of the cart. I looked over. Sprockle was frozen solid! It looked like Taz was doing a good job in attempting to stop him. Also, somehow I beat Nor here... L| "Seems the loser can't handle losing one Pokemon and has to send his friends to do the work for him," Kor snarled as he fought Aipom for the Pokeball, "No matter, you guys are still no match for Thermpent. Thermpent, use Ice Beam on that Growlithe and get it out of the way." Growlithe jumped out of the way to quickly dodge the frozen beam of ice. Kor struggled to keep the Pokeball, but the Aipom succeeded and tossing it a distance away. Kor then shoved Aipom off of Thermpent. At this point Kor's Duskull somehow came back to him. "You mean you lost? Fine, where's that loser Cor? All I see are his lame friends. Thermpent, you take care of these guys, I'm gonna go get my Pokeball and find Cor..." He said as he jumped off Thermpent and began to run towards the Pokeball. Thermpent slowly approched Aipom and Growlithe... (this is your battle Taz, not mine silly... )I caught sight of Kor running for the Pokeball. "Zubat! Grab that Pokeball, quick!" I said in a kinda muffled voice since my face was still against the floor of the cart. Zubat darted over to the Pokeball and snagged it just before Kor got to it. "Well, it seems Cor's around here somewhere... there's his stupid Zubat. Duskull, Dissable!" Duskull fired a dark wave straight at Zubat, but it was quickly able to dodge. "Hmm, you may be quick, but dodge this... Duskull, use Phase Out and then use Shadow Pierce on it." Shadow Pierce: Ghost Type: A 1-hit KO move. Works with 70% accuracy if Phase Out is used before. Duskull then dissapeared. If that attack hits, then it's all over... I had to do something. I couldn't, but I felt like I had to. Zubat began to use Supersonic to attempt to locate Duskull, but had no luck. Suddenly, Duskull appeared behind it. "Zubat! Behind you!" I yelled, but it was too late, Shadow Pierce struck home and Zubat was down. The Pokeball fell to the ground at Kor's feet. "So, there you are Cor," he smirked, "I was wondering when you'd show up. Seems your little plan to stop me from catching this Sprockle failed." "Why do you want that Sprockle anyway, it's obvious that it doesn't want to go with you. Chances would be real good that it won't even listen to you." "Who said anything about using it in battle?" "Huh? What are you talking about? What other use would you have for it." "That's for me to know, and you to never find out." With that, he hurled the Pokeball at Sprockle. I couldn't watch. There was something about that Sprockle that seemed odd, but I had no idea what it was. All I knew was that it most certainly didn't want to be caught by Kor. Suddenly, I looked to my side. Gastly was gone. I got up, realising that I could move again, and saw that Gastly had blocked the Pokeball from hitting Sprockle. He was still Cursed though, I don't know if he could survive a single attack. "Look, it's the stupid Gastly again," Kor said in anger, "That will be the last time I throw a Pokeball at that Sprockle and miss. Duskull, finish off this wimp. It doesn't even look like he'll survive even your weakest attack. In fact, just use Phase Out and Shadow Pierce again. I couldn't watch... {to be continued...} |

((w00t! a fight! ^^ Since Thermpent has two heads I’ll refer to the ice one as the ‘cold’ one and the fire one as the ‘hot’ one)) Growlithe growled viciously at the Thermpent. I watched carefully and wondered who would make the next move. Well, it was Aipom. He jumped out, seemingly from nowhere with his teeth showing. He managed to bite onto Thermpent's back, but his teeth weren't sharp enough to do a whole lot of damage. Then Growlithe made another move. Flames flew from his mouth and at his cold head on the Thermpent. The Thermpent groaned then shot an ice beam at Growlithe. Growlithe wasn’t able to dodge it, but luckily wasn't frozen as he was hit. He was knocked to the ground and hit it hard. "Growlithe!" I yelled. I started running toward him but he quickly stood back to his feet, wobbly. He barked at me then faces the Thermpent again. The Thermpent then fired another ice beam at Growlithe. Growlithe jumped to the side and was able to dodge the attack, then Aipom attack again. He jumped onto the Thermpent's frozen head and dug his teeth deep into it. It was cold, but he was able to bare it. In anger the Thermpent tossed his head up with a roar, forcing Aipom to loose his grip, fly off his dead and smack into a tree. Weakly he stood back to his feet, using his tail to balance himself. "Groooowlithe!" Growlithe howled. He ran forward and leapt in the air and onto the Thermpent's hot head. Then he sunk his fangs into it. The Thermpent growled in pain, and turn its cold head just in time to see Aipom charging. He tackled it hard and forced it to hit the ground with great impact. Finally, Thermpent was knocked out. I couldn’t help but cheer as I saw my Pokemon's victory. I ran over and allowed Aipom to crawl onto my shoulder then scratched Growlithe on his head playfully. It was then that I finally took notice of what Andy was doing and saw that Gastly wasn't doing well. Before I could say anything Growlithe was charging forward. He tackled Duskskull to the ground, interrupting his attack. "That Sprockle is Andy's!" I said. I held the pokeball, which contained Donphan in my hand. I was ready for anything. Though Aipom and Growlithe weren't in their best shape, I still had a few more. And if all that failed... I always had Ponyta to run away on
