We WILL be back up, and when we are I feel that we (the core of CP at least) should do everything we can to help defray any costs. The former CP was huge and that does cost money, not to mention all of the time and aggravation, and fun. You know Ken and Julie would never ask for $ for this, but they provide us a giant sand box in which to play at their expense. In helping Ken look for a new host I was blown away by some of the prices, roughly about the same as as a small car payment! Now I know that most of us don't have much $. There are other ways in which we can help. One way to help is to get your swag! CP Swag Next if you have some webspace your not using, once we are up and running, you can host your own Avatar (if you need help with that, let us know we'll help ya figure it out! I have some space and doubt my revised site will use up all the space, so I will be happy to host some Avatars. Ken when ya get a chance please add a paypal link. |

wouldn't it help also if folks would limit all the pice and such in their signatures ? I mean, some of it is cool, neat, funny, etc.. but come on folks... some of the signatures are like a page long...... |

I checked for www.counterparts.com when we decided on Counterparts as our Rush tribute band name. Kinda sad when I saw that someone else already had it. It'd be nice if some of our computer friends (I know nothing of programming) could come up with a java or shockwave applet of "pin the dick on Rudy" game. |

I had only recently figured out how to post images to the CP website and pull them from there into other threads, so I can easily go back to hosting all my own pictures - and I'll be glad to offer some bandwidth to the cause as well. |

I'm down in Amish country this week with no web access. I'm in some hotel lobby using their computer. I agree we should chip in to help Ken with the costs of the site. Just let me know how much. I don't know if Moop did this but check this out. I had signed up on rush.net towards the very end when he allowed people to sign up using yahoo accounts. I used my alias yahoo account which is named Andy Mackie. Andy is a local friend who doesn't use the web. My real name is 'Rich'. So the other day I start getting junk mail with the name 'Rich Mackie'. Now Moop-the-Spook knows my real Last Name because I had to give him my work address when I signed up on fry-net. I got some junk mail that tried to sell me a Marine Corps ring. Did Moop set this up? I don't know but why would I get mail addressed to me with those two names. I've only used the Andy Mackie email address once in a rare while. I set it up 2 years ago so I could set up the real Andy on Classmates.com because we were having a 20 year high school reunion. In other words I'm getting mail with my real first name and a last name that I used when I signed up at moop's site. The last name was from an alias email account. OK, then today I get a note in my real yahoo email account saying this: 'Request to join RushConNews denied. Your request to join the RushConNews group was not approved. The moderator of each Yahoo! group chooses whether to restrict membership in the group. Moderators who choose to restrict membership also choose whom to admit. Please note that this decision is final and that Yahoo! Groups does not control group membership.' Did Moop do this too? Maybe I'm getting paranoid. I never even signed up on the rushcon news group?!? |

Ya know...I think I just gave him the benefit of the doubt. But, if we can get this game going, maybe we could have to ....oh, nevermind. I just started to get a bit randyon that, and thought I'd censor myself. |

- Amish country has a calming effect on the psyche - Covered barns make me want to strip down naked and run wild in the corn fields - One look at these farms and you know these people are a bunch of closet alcoholics. There ain't nothin' to do down here at night. - The outlets for shopping are an obscene symbol of western civilization - but I love Banana Republic. Love that store! - Sams Steins rules! http://www.samssteins.com/ |

Server Update The DNS info. has been changed for rushmessageboard.com. The server is 90% set up. We now are just waiting to beging the process to upload the old board. Target date to have CP (the messageboard at least), back up and running? Tonight! www.rushweb.net should be up and running at some point on Thursday. In regards for donations, I'll provide a paypal link when we're back on line at CP. Finally, we've spoken with Finlay. <<<more later>>> |
