I think making matches summaries would take away from the show. If we do 7-10 matches a week, it wouldn't be difficult if we had like 3-4 extra writers. Make Ascension a house show, where if people wanna be on it, they sign up? Or make it like a card with one big match and one or two undercard matches, similar to Main Event? If Ascension was just that, and didn't have to go on layouts, I can do it on my own. lol Edited by Mac Leonard, Jun 6 2013, 04:06 PM.

I feel you for all this. I know how it goes with trying to run a fed. We recently went from a show with fully written matches for every match, to all summarized matches and main event written because my co-owner was getting burned out really quick. We are currently bi-weekly shows, and back in 2003 when we started we were running two shows a week and sometimes three when there was a PPV. Things change, people change, hobbies change with those last two. I'm new here, but I'm willing to guess you have a roster that enjoys working with you and will do whatever you think is good for the fed.

Take your time hun. Things happen and all the ideas I read are good. You will make the right call and you have good folks behind you.

I know how burn out goes running a fed. <_< While my own fed (with Dante) didn't last too long, I was a GM in that one place (ya know the one right? lol) for about 2 years off and on and it really started to take out of me. Especcially when no segments were submitted or people did not help with matches. <_< I know I am guilty of both of them here, and I am sorry. I am a TERRIBLE match writer, I would love to help out in that department but yeah If youve ever seen the matches I write you'd ask me not to write em anymore. But I am making it a priority to start sending in segments. |

PS: You can't close! *shakes you* I'd end up being the cursed roster member for PDW. Everyone would blame me! ![]() The second run of PDW closed like 2 weeks after I won the Cyber Championship. |

I was a fedhead, once upon a time, and I know how difficult it can be. For the most part, it's a thankless job having to book shows, extend angle and feud ideas, write full matches, edit and organize results, and so much more. I know the idea of summarized matches may not seem like a favorite choice, but it will help reduce stress and burnout potential. Perhaps a way of inspiring writers is to only write full matches for the top quality RP's for matches. For bigger shows, top three; smaller ones, top two. The only shows that may have full matches from beginning to end can be the PPV's. Bi-weekly scheduling might benefit everyone, as it seems to be preferred by most efedders nowadays. Otherwise, take your time and let yourself breathe. Real life comes first over everything else, regardless of what anyone says. Those who truly care and are devoted will still be around.

It comes down to a bit more than just match writing but honest question. How many people actually read the matches? |

Am I awesome?

I do over here, mainly because I know they are original and aren't stolen. I'd rather late results than read a match involving my character and see him called Flair multiple times. |

That's only one occurrence. I've brought up my suspicions multiple times, but they fall on deaf ears. |

I like reading matches myself. I don't read every single one, but I read my own, the Bloodshed matches and the main events. Shit, I like writing them too lol. Doing summaries for four weeks and then having to go all out for PPV's would be hard for me to get motivated for. Writing the ppv match I mean.

Basicly, Connolly is running WGWF for the moment. The last results were basicly crap, and from what it looks like most of the matches were either ran through a simulator or stolen. Which, I've suspected Connolly of doing from my days in PWE, quite a few of my matches had Tomoko being called him or by a wrong name. On this weeks Brawl there were wrestlers called wrong names, using weird movesets and RJ Palmer using a finisher not his. But yeah, it falls on deaf ears. I warned CCP to be weary of this almost a year ago when he put C2 in charge of match writing. Now to your Match Question: I do read some matches, but I'll be honest not all. If there was an exchange of two (or more) people I liked roleplay wise, or a match I was kind of looking forward too, I'll read the whole match. I also read my own all the time and have reached out to (Cordy and I think someone else) who write the Yun matches to let them know how much of a bang up job they are doing. How about the matches where only one person rp's is summarized, and when both people RP, full match? |

I was thinking the same thing about the House Show. I would say book 25-30 people on the main card, and have roll call for a house show. Or, before every card is posted, have roll call and put those people in matches on the main card. |

I do. I enjoy reading them more than the Hunger Games Series. And I LOVED the Hunger Games Series. |
