(The camera fades from black to a scene of what looks to be an interview set. Just your simple black backdrop, two red velvet comfy chairs, a table between the chairs. Red carpeting covers the floor and there is a picture of Star on the back wall. The camera pans back and two people come into the shot and we see that one is Kayla and the other is Chaotica. Kayla is in a slim one piece mini skirt dress, purple with red high heels and Chaotica is in black jeans, black women’s boots, a black T shirt and her hair is done up in dreads and has the colors of green and blue going all through it. She is without, however, the eyes that make her so scary. In fact her eyes are hazel. She looks at the camera and sticks her tongue out at it. Dayshia starts the interview so she composes herself and stares wildly at Kayla.)

K: Welcome, to an edition of “Behind the Wrestler.” I’m Kayla, resident backstage interviewer for PDW and with me is my guest and one of the newest divas here for PDW, Chaotica. She first arrived on the scene in a gulp of blood and some wild eyes and has been going strong since. I must say, without your eyes in, your not as scary as you usually are. But with your hair like that and those tatts, I’m a little intimidated.

C: Aw shoot, you don’t have to be, love. I’m just your average wild child at heart. Come on, play with me!

K: Uh, maybe later. Now, to get started here. What is your real name so that our audience knows?

C: It’s Madelyn Conn. But you can call me Maddie (she winks at the screen.)

K: Madelyn Conn? As in that famous movie star who did movies with Gene Wilder? Madelyn Khan?

C: Lord, I wish. No, I’m no where near as perfect or pretty as her. Her last name was spelled K-h-a-n. My last named is spelled C- o- n-n.

K: Nice. So what is your background? Who trained you? Or what sport did you do before you became a wrestler?

C: Damn, I was a f**king roller derby girl before I wrestled. 10 years of it. Started when I was f**king 19 for the town I migrated too: New York Holy High Rollers.

K: Really? Roller Derby? What was your ring name?

C: They called me “Hell Louise” It was supposed to be a joke when I first started out but I gave the other teams lots of hell, the name stuck.

K: What was your position?

C: I was a Pivot. Basically what I did was block but I could also be a jammer as well. Jammer’s are the ones who get the f**king points. But mostly I developed the f**king strategy during play so for the past 5 years I’ve been team captain.

K: What made you decide to go into wrestling?

C: Well I have been a big fan of wrestling ever since I was a little girl. Derby was kind of my first step towards that. But in the past 10 years I’ve been developing skills and working on my muscles and my technique so now I’m trying my hand at wrestling.

K: Your first match in, you lost. Not a good way to start don’t you think?

C: Yeah. I know. Not a good f**king start. But hell, the way my life has been, I had so many f**king downs than ups. The only thing that kept me going all these years was roller f**king derby. And like almost all of the major players here say: “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” I ain’t dead yet. And as long as I can perform in the ring, as long as I have fun at what I do, I’m going to be here. Win or lose.

K: What are your goals for PDW?

C: My goals are the same goals as everyone else here.

K: To be women’s champion?

C: Kinda but more along the f**king lines of: I want to rule the world. But bloody hell love, one day at a time, one step at a time. One win at a time, don’t you think? I’m on the bottom now. I gotta start somewhere, you know. If it takes me 10 f**king years to build myself up to be World Champion, so be it. And if this gets too f**king heavy for me, I can always go back to Derby.

K: Ok. Who trained you?

C: You ever see my moves in the ring?

K: Yeah.

C: Not really classy. Not really technical. Just straight up brawling. I learned those moves on the street. I figured I would bring them to the ring. So who taught me? Me, myself and I.

K: So going back a second. You’re from New York City.

C: No. I’m originally from London, England but after I broke away from my f**king guardian, I followed my sister and we ended up in New York f**king City. So, New York City is kind my adopted city here in the f**king colonies.

K: What does your family think of your life style?

C: My guardian could care less. In fact you ever see that movie “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo?”

K: Yes.

C: Just like that. Except my parents are dead. Died when I was 15 years old from a car accident. Left to this dumb f**king guardian guy who only used me for sex. Me and my sisters. I had two sisters. One of them was sexually assaulted by our guardian a little too f**king much that she went and offed herself. Rope around the neck. She was my younger sister. My older sister and I moved so far f**king away from London, after that. I stopped in New York City and she went to Anchorage Alaska. We are close though still. She still lives in Anchorage, Alaska and is a Bartender. And I’m a wrestler slash f**king roller derby girl. Look at us now.

(she laughs)

K: Did you have any kids by him?

C: Are you insane? Hell no. I was f**king pregnant with one of his kids one time and I aborted it. And when I was 17 I finally f**king had enough and growing up on the streets like I did, I didn’t care what happened to me. I finally went to the police. They didn’t believe me. So I had to videotape the whole thing for them. Just like Dragon Tattoo girl. I took the tape in, they arrested him. He got 5 years. Well by the time he got out, I was f**king old enough to be old and gone and on my own and married. He knows that if he ever crosses my path again, I WILL kill him. Rob will too.

K: You’re married?

C: Hell yeah! With a daughter as well?

K: Really. What does he do and how is she?

C: Well Rob is 35 years old. About 6 years older than I am. I met him when he was announcing my f**king roller derby matches and I was a skater. We met and we hit it right f**king off. Avarice is my daughter. I’m so proud of her. She is 4 years old now.

K: Sweet. Avarice Conn. Do you want her following in mommy’s footsteps.

C: I don’t want her to have to go through what I did. And women today have to fight but are almost f**king equal to men. I want her to choose whatever she wants to do. And whatever she does she does it with my blessing. IF she wants to follow in my footsteps, lord help her but go for it. My life, my road, my f**king journey has been hard my whole life. I don’t want her to have to go through the same thing as I did. Rob and I try to shield her from it and give her everything at the same time.

K: What does Rob do?

C: He’s a Radio DJ for a station in Jersey. WHOG. Mostly known for their heavy metal and death and grunge rock. On the weekends he still announcers for the Holy High Rollers.

K: How long have you been married to him?

C: We were dating for a few years but overall I want to say 5 years now.

K: And does he look like you with the Goth getup and being into vampirism and all.

C: F**k no. Well… kinda yes. He’s got the tatts on his arms and neck but that’s it. You see my idol growing up was Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. I had a boyfriend when I was 17 who introduced me to the Goth culture and then to vampirism. I never was really all that heavy into it. I don’t practice it daily either. In fact, I find it hard sometimes to get other’s blood down my throat. But when you do it right, it’s a spiritual feeling. I introduced Rob to the goth scene and he was already into Metal music so we clicked there. He isn’t into vampirism as much as I am, in fact very little. He knows about it, he knows my turn ons and offs and needless to say that the bedroom can get pretty f**king wicked scary. Like 1 out of 10 times we do it, we suck blood from each other, but not in large quanities. Maybe like a pin prick or so.

K: Ok, that’s scary. So your idol was Elvira. Any other idols or role models growing up? And did you have someone to look up to when you stepped foot in the ring.

C: Morticia Adams as played by Angelica Houston was awesome. In terms of wrestling, the people I idolized were Kane, the Undertaker, Chyna, Jazz and Goldust. You know, with me, the f**king freakier, the better.

K: I’m starting to see that. Why is that?

C: This f**king world is insane. If you can’t be your f**king self and you can’t live the way you want to live, you’re better off dead. What’s the purpose of living by other’s rules? If you can live on the fringes of society but still be able to deal with all the rules they have nowadays. You’re ok. I live by this mantra: live hard, party hard, die hard. Have fun along the way.

K: In that spirit. When you partied hard, did you take any drugs or alcohol along the way?

C: 15 years I might have done a bit of this and that. LSD, exstasy, crack, coke and did a lot of drinking. I still smoke here and there. But Rob has been my light in my life and has gotten me sober and focused. Avarice is the biggest love of my life. If I lose everything today but her, I would still be happy. Been clean now for 6 years. Don’t miss it at all. A little smoke here and there. Nothing that is Mary J related but just tobacco based. Still need my “calm downs” every now and then you know?

K: You’re not exactly considered a roll model with how you portray yourself but if you had any words of advice for any of the younger girls out there aspiring to be wrestlers, what they would be?

C: Lovelies! F**king go for it! You only have one f**king life to live, and if you aren’t doing anything that makes you happy, you might as well be f**king dead. Don’t let anybody tell you can’t. Savvy? You can and if you can, you will. And you will be great at doing that. Whatever you choose.

K: Nice. Well that’s all the time we have for today with Chaotica. Until next time.

(the lights fade out, the sound goes down and the camera fades to black)
