Well, there are a few things you need to look at when going into an interfed type of show. 1. How will my promotion look against theirs? This is simple really, and everyone thinks it. There is slight hesitation or mistrust based on the fact that you may not know the other owners that well. So you're basically making sure he's not trying to stab your back while you prepare your own half of the show. And nobody, I mean nobody likes having their promotion served up as second rate; whether deserved or not. 2. Who will judge the matches? More often than not, an amalgamation of people from both feds handle the judging duties. This is because no one side trusts the other with handling how matches are judged, and so, they give a judging spot over to one person on their side that they trust while the opposition does the same. Now normally, this might not be a bad thing; but sometimes they're also instructed to give a biased opinion to their own people. This has happened a few times, and it is what always leads to the slow decay of an interfed show. People from either side calling each other on meaningless shit, which only serves to divide the two feds even farther. Doesn't matter if one side is clearly right and the other is wrong; people will back their fed head. 3. Who will write the show? Exactly who gets the duties to write matches? Is it a joint effort, is it the effort of one side? For this to work, it'd have to be a team effort. Otherwise, one side would claim bias over the results of a big match (say an interfed title) because it was judged by the other camp and also written by the other camp. Sometimes it's not intended to be malicious, and other times you get shit like "The Diaz Dropper". If you feel like you can answer these three questions in a clean environment with little to no chance of backstabbing, pillaging, or general bollocksing about, then I say go for it. But you really have to ask yourself if these are people we can trust with a situation as delicate as this one. |

Well actually I'm gonna stick around PDW and help out with things creative wise and I'm a member of PV as well as good friends with the owner. He's not an egotistic guy and both feds will get a chance to shine. That being said if the rping favors one side cause they just did a better job there's nothin you can really do bout that. |
