And the dreaded day was over. She’d endured twenty four whole hours of Valentine’s Day and survived without so much as a sniffle. Most people would probably think she was crazy for her feelings toward the “holiday” but Star could care less. She’d never cared too much for Valentine’s Day. All she thought about when I came to it was someone having their head cut of in the name of love and how the day usually just got under her skin. Everything about it got on her nerves. But why would such a beautiful girl hate the day of love? Well, that was because she really didn’t know a damn thing about it. Star strolled through the hallways of the PDW arena towards her office to retrieve something she’d left. She kept a close eye out for anyone he may creep up on her. One of her dear friends, Kurupt Loc…Jake Matthews. Her pace slowed a little when he crossed her mind. She hadn’t seen or talked to him all day and it was mostly by choice. He probably wouldn’t understand it but February 14th had brought up so many painful memories for her that she couldn’t bare to be around anyone, especially him. Part of her felt like an ass for everything that she was feeling but it couldn’t be helped. Valentine’s Day just made Star remember how close she was to not believing in love at all. She was nearly through with it before she even really began. It did make her think of some of her superstars though. Michael Mercer and his estranged wife, poor Mike Ryba and his dead wife. They probably had it much worse than she had. Hell, all Star did was fall in love with someone who made her feel completely worthless in a relationship that ended with her nearly bleeding to death because of it. What the hell did she know? Valentine’s Day was shit. That’s what she knew. She had no use for it and was glad that it was finally out of her way. She continued down the hall, trying her best to put on a face that showed no signs of sadness. Now that she was out of hiding she was bored out of her mind. If only someone would come along to entertain her. TBC by anyone... |

Mike Ryba stood in the hallway just outside of his locker room. Valetines Day was over for him, and although relief hit him, he was still stuck with the rock bottom feeling. As he leaned against the wall with his arms folded over his chest, he just stared at the floor. His eyes were bloodshot and worn out, giving the hint that he was practically all day, all night at the cemetery until he couldn't stand the cold any longer. As he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, the sounds of footsteps coming closer are heard. He shifted around a bit so it actually made him look like he was doing something. He took out his cell phone and began to just fiddle with it as the steps got closer. |

Star's eyes fell on Ryba and his cell phone. As she drew nearer she suddenly smiled a little and shook her head, taking notice of his messing around with the phone. She did it often. It was obviously just to busy himself. Star: Hey... Star called out to him, trying to keep up her friendly face. She knew that Mike Ryba was cool with Jake but she couldn't remember having a conversation with him herself. He'd been hired by Amaya. SHe'd yet to have a reason to talk to him. Star: Ryba? You look lost. |

Ryba: Oh? ~Ryba smirked a bit as he still fiddled with the phone~ Ryba: Just a little..was trying to make this long block turn and get rid of the bottom row. Tetris..such a bitch! ~Ryba turned out one of the most forced smiles ever as he placed the phone in his pant pocket and looked to Star. Regardless of how his eyes may look at this point, he doesn't go too far to block his emotions that much. He just did his best to make his appearance as warm as can be~ |

Star's smile drops just a little but. She can't help but think that something in Ryba's eyes reflect what she's feeling. How coincidental that she'd run into him after what was just running through her mind. The thought of asking if something was bothering him came about but Star felt odd asking such a thing. It almost seemed out of her place to do so. There was nothing wrong with a variation of it though... Star: How are ya? She said that with as much perk in her voice as possible as she finally stood in front of him. Tetris, eh? Alone in the arena when it was snowing lions and tigers outside. Uh huh... |

Ryba knew how he was, how he was feeling. His feelings are practically dripping out of his eyes, but still he stands tall with a smile. He looks to Star and lets out a small shrug. Ryba: I am good I suppose... He looked to Star was well. He isn't the most obvious to those that have problems, but being as he was in the arena with his emotions, he can only assume she is here to get away from them as well. Ryba: And yourself? |

Her head lowered for a moment and she chuckled weakily. She looked back up at himm, brushed a piece of hair away from her face and shrugged her shoulders. If she told him the truth she'd be wrong on so many levels. He didn't look to be at the peak of happiness himself. How would she look pushing her odd feelings on him? But even so... Star: Truth be told I kinda feel like it looks outside. She then nodded her head and gave another weak chuckle. Star: But I'm hanging in there. Just came by to pick up a few things and see if I run into Kurupt Loc so I can mace him again. Don't have much else to do. |

Ryba: Believe me if Kurupt Loc would be here, you would be two superstars less. I would be behind bars for what I would do to him, and he would be laying in a coffin... ~Ryba chuckled a bit, still pissed off from that moment. But that moment sort of rekindled his fire for wrestling. He smirked a bit as he rubbed the back of his head~ Ryba: And I hear you on the outside part...I feel like shit as well.. ~Ryba shrugs a bit and folds his arms over his chest again~ Ryba: But what can you do on such days as this.. |

Star: Well... She smiled a little as she bopped her head from side to side. Star: I spent most of the day hiding from my uhh...sorta boyfriend. Barely ate because there's nothing in there that I don't have to cook and I am dangerous in the kitchen. Especially alone. She paused again. Star: I'm hoping that it doesn't snow us in here. Another pause... Star: Not sure what to do with this time actually. After such a boring day you'd think I would. But umm...what's bothering you? Star bit her lip with a bit of a sudden apology in her eyes. Star: If you don't mind my asking. |

~Ryba looked down at the floor. It was tough for him just to think about it, and would nearly rip his emotions apart each time he would speak of it. But he told himself that he wouldn't hold his words in anymore. They began to take its toll on him physically. He closed his eyes and let out a long sigh~ Ryba: Thinking about a love that was lost... ~Ryba smiled as he looked up to her~ Ryba: Don't know if that talk has began to echo in the hallways of PDW yet... |

She nodded almost against her will. She actually wondered if any of PDW knew of anything that had happened to her before the company was established But she'd certainly heard bits and pieces of his story. Star: Haven't heard enough to actually say I know about it. Star looked down the hall for a moment and then back at him, seemingly on the look out for someone. Star: I have heard a bit though. Haven't gone through something like that so I can't say I understand. It has to be tough on you though. But I see you're still standing. Pretty strong guy I'd say. |

Ryba: Standing, yeah, its all I can do.. ~Ryba sighed again and shrugged~ Ryba: And I have been told that it takes a strong willed man to go through it, but what I don't get, is if that is the case...why do I end up weak all the time it runs through my mind? ~Ryba laughed as he looked down a bit. He quickly shook his head and smiled as he looked around~ Ryba: Eh, sorry about the ranting... ~Ryba tucked his lips in as he thought of a question to ask~ Ryba: So you said your avoiding your boyfriend. If you don't mind me asking, why is that? |

Now what the hell could she said that would make even athe slightest bit of sense. Star: Sorta not a fan of V-day I didn't want him worrying about me. She suddenly a slight chuckle. Star: Althoughe he probably is anyway. You haven't seen him have you? Jake Matthews? |

Ryba: Not as of late. But then again I really haven't moved from this spot for a while now.. ~Ryba looks up and rubs his chin and goatee as he begins to think. He can't really pinpoint where Jake would be.~ Ryba: I mean he will eventually pop out of somewhere. Usually when im in the arena he pops out of a utility closet or comes around a corner right when I am walking. Its like a freakish troll...but he is cool peoples. |

Star couldn't help but laugh. She'd never heard Jake described quite like that. She almost never seemed to bump into Jake like that though. Actually, the only time she had was when PDW first opened. After that it seemed like they were always on a goose chase for one another. But she honestly wasn't looking to run into him at the moment. Maybe later she would be. Star: Utility closet... She shook her head with a smile etched across her face. Ryba was still a bit down but it was nice to see that he'd brightened up just a little. Star: So you've been hanging right here? With a shrug of her shoulders, Star frowned. Star: Why do people like hanging around here so much? Granted I do it too but most times I don't have a choice. |
