Check your wooden Thomas toys....a recall has been issued due to concerns that the paint used may contain lead. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/stor...?hub=TopStories |

Oh no, Rachel sucks on those type of toys all the time.
:( I can't believe that things like this still happen, now my children have been exposed to lead. I am so angry. What are we supposed to do with the toys? Here is the information on the company's website: Thomas the Train Recall. |

I figured most of us have at least one Thomas toy in our homes. I've checked all of mine and DS has a few that are affected by the recall. We opted for the plastic railway system to build, although we have the knock-off wooden system with some Thomas trains.....I have to sneak them out from the toy room when DS doesn't see me. Then the fun starts when he freaks for his favorite engine :ph43r: A lot of kids are going to be angry today  |

I just checked ours and thank goodness we don't have any. Thomas is ds favorite toy and he would be very upset. How can a company still use paint with lead in them???? |

We have 3 of the pieces they identified, I just have to check the code on the bottom. I have the return form printed off just in case. |

I only found out today about this recall. Rylan has 6 items affected!!!! It is only a small blessing that he is beyond putting toys into his mouth. This is unbelievable. You go through so much trouble to protect your children and then something like this happens.... |
