My Red Castle Whizz finally arrived on Tuesday! It was a long month waiting but definitely worth it :) ! First of all, I have to say what a well made high quality stroller this is. And everything is so well thought out. Lots of nice little touches that really add to the overall enjoyment for both the parent and the child. Things like a built in pocket to store the included tire pump, built in netting in the hood for air flow on hot days, zippers on the side of the basket for easier access, padding in the seat area, so even without the included pad, it's a comfy ride! The seat is huge and there is loads of head room under the canopy. The basket is fairly large and will hold quite a bit (smaller than the mbus, but will hold lots more than the EW) The accessories (and there are LOTS of them included!) are all very high quality. The raincover is similar to the newer mbus style and has two zippers so you can unzip the flap and Velcro to the top of the canopy, a feature I LOVE. The included sun screen is nice and soft and folds up super small. The maintenance kit even comes with extra inner tubes; very thoughtful! They even included wheel covers! The push and steering with my 4yr old is wonderfull, definitely up there with the best of them. Not quite as tight as the EW which has a much smaller front wheel, but almost as good. And the fold definitely has the EW beat; it's super easy. (Just push a lever on each side of the handle with your thumbs, and it folds down nice and small) Another thing I really like is that there are no "hubs" on the centre of the wheel (one thing about the mbus that bugs me) because I find that I'll misjudge my clearance in tight spaces like stores. There is definitely no way anyone will have a problem with kicking the stroller with this one, even if you have a huge stride. Also the handle adjusts from super low to super high. I was initially worried that the seat would be a bit too reclined in the most upright position, but I found by pulling the seat forward, I could have it very upright for Caden, and that's how I have been using it. The only thing I would change is the 4 zipper, 2 position recline, just because it takes a bit longer, so I prefer the strap style of the mbus. Position 1 is about a 45 degree, and with all zippers open, it is almost flat. The seatpad is wonderful! (I chose turquoise to go with my chocolate base) It's a nice soft cotton on one side, and fleece on the other. I've posted pics on my site in the stroller section: http://www.newfsinrio.piczo.com To sum it up, this stroller is amazing, and well worth the money, I think. It seems pricey at first, but when you add up all the included accessories, it's really not, especially when you see the quality of everything. :) Taryn http://www.euro-baby.us/redcastle-whizz.php http://www.redcastle.fr/index02.php |
