Its just ironic that they come here and expect us to pay such high prices. Friends of mine on another forum got to go to their local mall to see them for free.

The only thing about going to see any of the those things free at a mall or anything is that it is absoulute madness. There is really no seating.....just a zoo. We went to a couple at some local mall (Judy and David, etc.) and I would rather pay the money for the organization....I agree the price is high but the kids enjoy going.

As horrible as these shows can seem it is funny how the kids see them. I thought Cailou at Mile One was BRUTAL....my kids are still talking about how funny Gilbert the cat was!!! Oh well - I guess everything is perspective!! ;)

The only show we seen with Amber was at Mile one, the Little bear concert. She loved it, and it was pretty good. I never seen the max and ruby show a few years ago but heard negative things about it. Its a bit pricey.

A small hijack: Does anyone like Max and Ruby as much as your kids do? I can't stand Ruby at all, and every time I tell M that she can watch a tv program my fingers are crossed that Max & Ruby won't be on!

My boys think that Max is the funniest thing on TV...I don't really mind the show that much ( it gives me 20 minutes peace ;) ) But dh, on the other hand would rather poke needles in his eyes than have to sit through an episode!

I don't mind the show - Ruby is a bit bossy but sometimes I find it funny - Max gives her such a hard time!

My question is - where are the parents??? :o Ruby does everything. She looks after Max all the time. She dresses him and gives him a bath!1 She is just a kid herself.

DS loves the show - I don't HATE it but I am sick of it.

My DD loves it as well first it was DS who watched it now they both do. Today they took the belt from my robe and were trying to "jump rope" all the while singing over and over "bunny scout bunny scout...bun..ney scout!"

But other than the grandma occassionaly they are on their own..lol

DD LOVES this show. She doesn't watch a lot of TV but she do love Max and Ruby and Toopie and Binou (that's another topic!!!!)
Poppy bought her a ticket to the show for Easter. I had to buy one for myself! It is playing the day before and on Mother's Day. I figure what better to do than to spend the day out for lunch and a show for Mother's Day with my daughter! :) Hope it is good though since it is costing $ 49.00 for both of us!

im not fussy on ruby she is a bit too ossy but i LOVE max he can say so much without saying anything at all lol

i wouldnt pay to see them though the problem here in newfoundland is we rarely have ppl come here so when there finally is someone here parents are desparate to go so they will pay huge prices because we never know when there will be another show.
& a lot of younger kids are scared because theyre used to the characters on tv theyre only a few inches high but live in person theyre so big & thats intimidating
if you want your kids to see the characters have them at a party rent the costume much cheaper!
