Not sure if anyone has posted this yet .... Max and Ruby will be at the Holy Heart Theatre on May 12 and 13 at 1:00. Tickets are $22.75. I think you can get the tickets through the Arts and Culture Centre box office. |

It is a show based on Rosemary Well's books. It comes on Treehouse. |

PS - Ella was terrified of Salty Dog too!!! We would have to go out of our way to avoid him going around the Xmas show at the Glacier! |

ds likes Max and Ruby as well but is too young for a show like that - don't you think the price is a bit steep - for a parent and a couple of kids you looking at $70! |

I was wondering if anyone has seen them before. I think I remember someone talking about them lastyear. The kids enjoyed it but the parents thought it was a waste of momey. I think they were on for like 20 minutes. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also is it 22.75 per person? or are parents free. As mine will be on my lap? TIA |

Ella is afraid of anything dressed up - up close. If they are in a distance away she does not mind. Logan was never afraid. Oh, and it did not take Ella long not to be afraid of Santa once she saw the presents being handed out!! Usually at these shows you have to buy tickets for everyone even if they are in your lap....kind of stupid! My kids love to go to the show and we always went in Ontario, mind you something like this would have only run about $15 a ticket. Then there is the other extreme...when The Wiggles came to Skydome myself and dh took Logan. I had to get up at 6:00am to get logged on to Ticket Master and it was almost $200 for the 3 of us to go.......BUT we had fun....they put off a great show! |

Max and Ruby came to Mile One a few years ago and it was not very good. The tickets were not very expensive at the time though. Mile One has adopted a policy since then that every person regardless of age has to have a ticket and a seat for "insurance purposes." What a crock, there is absolutely no reason why they have to charge for infants, surely they can record that there are 2 people per seat instead of demanding payment for them. They may have since changed their policy again but when we went to Franklyn before Christmas we had to pay for Rachel. This may be a different Max and Ruby show than the last one to come through as well. Sorry for such a negative post! |

I also heard some negative comments about the Max & Ruby show at the stadium. Haven't decided if I am taking the kids yet. THe prices for tickets are kind of high though! |

I just called the mile one box office, so far they're only selling tickets for the Big Comfy Couch at the holy heart theatre. Tickets for that show are $17 something each. I think that they prices that they are charging for these shows are awfully high :o |

I agree ... I think it is quite expensive for a kids show. I saw the ad in the paper today. I think you can get the tickets through MileOne but it is posted on the Arts and Culture website as well so I'm not sure if you can get them from both. I also did not hear great reviews about their last show. |
