I really wanna start going to a playgroup. I was gonna do it last week but b/f schedule was all messed up. (he's my ride there)
any suggestions on what one is your favorite??? I live in the goulds but I don't mind driving somewhere out of the way.

My fave. is the CUPW one on Pippy place it is small and cozy!
I also like the City one at Wedgewood! Both have more info listed in our playgroup section! I am always looking for new groups to try!

I like the CUPW one better than Wedgewood because it is smaller. While Wedgewood is really fun I found it hard to meet people because it was sooo big and I couldn't sit in one spot to watch Julia since she went between the 3 different areas!! At the CUPW one I could sit with Rachel in the baby area and see what Julia was up to at all times. :)

I only take the vehicle on M, W and F now so I don't go to either one of those any more.

The playgroup in Goulds is absolutely fabulous! I live in St. John's and actually drive right past a couple of others just to go to playgroup in there! The woman who runs it, Gina, is just great with the kids and all of the moms will welcome you with open arms. They have regular playgroup on Tuesday's and Thursdays 930-12 and 130-4 and they usually have a program or two that runs on Wednesday's. They provide a healthy snack for the moms and kids and offer a toy and book lending library. You should really give Gina's a try, I can't say enough about how wonderful this group is! :D

Where is it located to in the Goulds. I have been looking for an afternoon playgroup. Is anyone welcome to attend or do you have to be a resident of that area. (the question mark button is broke on this key board! hehe) Thanks

I don't know if anyone is still checking this topic, but I figured I'd throw my two sense in anyway...

I go to a Brighter Futures Playgroup at Holy Cross on Wed and Fri. Its from 930-1130 and its AWESOME!!! I just moved her in the fall and I have met quite a few really awesome people from going to this playgroup.

Everyone there is super friendly!!

i go to the brighter futures playgroup, tuesdays and fridays on the st thomas line, and my kids love it.

They also offer on the first friday of the month at 10am you can go to campia (kids gymnastic place) for free. Its in donovans and my little guy loves running around, and the trampoline, and spring boards etc. ideal for 2-4 yr olds

I had no idea there was a free session at Campia on the first Friday of the month. Is it run by the playgroup or Campia? I think we'll check it out this week. We are always looking for places to go and people to see!

I think it is time that Campia donates to Brighter Futures. I've heard that it is pretty crowded, especially if you are used to going there for regular sessions, but I don't speak from experience!
