Ok, my sister-in-law bought my daughter a Fisher Price Walker for her first Birthday. I thought it was a great idea! She loved it while we were in the store (the box was designed so she could test it out). And when we got it out of the box, it was even better. Within a week or so, she had gotten comfortable using it and was getting quicker in her steps, so the toy was moving faster. Anyhow, this toy is front heavy and the back isn't what so ever. She hit a bottle that was on the floor and to my horror, the toy flipped over and landed on top of her but not before she hit her mouth off our entertainment center. She cried a bit so I went to make sure she was ok, no blood, but guess what, her two top front teeth have great big chips in them!!! So this is kind of a bad product review and a warning to mommy's out there.

If you'd like a picture of the product, or if you'd like to see her teeth before and after this happened, let me know :)

oh my goodness. i have one of them for brady. He uses all of his other toys to help him walk lol. except this one...the one that is suppose to help him walk.
he only plays with the buttons and gets on his knees to move it...but now you got me thinking should I let him play with it. that is aweful what happened. i can't imagine.

We have it too... it works great on carpet (at my parents... we have no carpet) and works great outside on the grass... but otherwise on hardwood tile it goes way to fast! It's so funny that you mentioned this. Just this morning I brought it up from downstairs for dylan to have another go at! And now at 16months he can't get enough of it!

Yeah I found that it worked good in his playroom---we have those foam color mats covering the floor.
but christmas morning we tried it in the hallway (hardwood) and it was all over the place.

Great... :(

We got that one for Rachel for Christmas but she is still a bit too young to use it. Thanks for the heads-up, how dangerous!

If I remember correctly they are aged 9 months up or 9-36 something like that... but other then pressing the buttons... Dylan is only digging it now at 16months. I find sooo many toys are awkwardly aged.

I got a hold of Fisher Price after Onica's teeth got cracked and they sent her a gift certificate and told me to send them back the toy and they would refund the money so she can get something else. I also told Fisher Price I'd be letting other people know about the toy too :P

Wow! Usually fisher price things are excellent. I'll be sure not to get that one since we have all hardwood floors. Thank goodness she was ok but her poor teeth! Thanks for the heads up.

Actually Dylan has really taken to this one over the past while (a year later)... he gets on himself now and everything... and with his weight sitting on it ... it is fine! But he still can't use it standing behind it... he's too tall for one... and still does go fast in that mode!

yeah same here. Since the last post it seems to be all he plays with lol
he's actually playing with it right now. I hide cheerios in under the hood...he goes crazy when he opens it up and they're there...I think he thinks he's doing it by closing it and opening it haha
