Hurricane Hayden
Topic Started: Oct 9 2016, 03:51 PM (48 Views)
Hurricane Hayden struck the West Coast of Krisville last night, leaving millions of dollars in damage, and, as skinny as Krisville is, reached all the way to the East Coast.

Capo Aguillo got struck at 2 AM. The governmental buildings' flags, not including Jamee's Flag on the Capitol, got blown away. 222,000 people died, as many struggled with the move north to Sabra Town.

Sabra Town got struck at 3 AM. Most of the 391 people there had died or was severely injured. Heading inland wasn't an option.

Jamee State got struck at 12 PM today. On the East, a strong 35 kk/h wind was blown over, killing 30,000.

Warm water at 12 degrees Gayer is expected to head north, if you feel it, please evacuate. This is a sign of Hayden striking your town/city. Gayerr-Alert City has a low expectation on wind speed, but this Category 5 Hurricane could cause the Gashi River and the Hayate River to flood, eventually making Eastern Cities 5 jjkk underwater.

[ooc]IIRC you requested plot 28. I'm assuming that's where you are.[/ooc]

Actualidades and other media outlets have been covering the story, and there have been expressions of sympathy from all over Almonaster Nuevo.

The Elevator Construction Consortium has detached two amphibious airships from where they were working on the base station, with a third to follow once a relief airframe arrives. They have been routed via Goosada for safety reasons, and will take approximately 24 hours to reach Krisville. They are slow, but can carry up to 50 tonnes of supplies, and can reach areas which are isolated due to flooding and road damage. Fourteen medical staff and three engineering crews are aboard, along with some survival and construction gear and basic foodstuffs.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. ~ Mencken
