Barry from 10000 Islands
|
The Archeologists awoke in the early morning, only to find that the door to the plane’s passenger cabin was open, with a trail of some kind of disgusting brown, gooey, distasteful looking substance leading out onto a sandy beach. Indiana Jones leapt out the door and onto the beach in alarm, with the others following close behind. “Oh No!”, Indy exclaimed in fear as he knelt down next to a listless figure lying face down in the sand next to several jars that had obviously fallen from the figure’s backpack. Another half empty jar was clutched in the prone figure’s hand. Indiana examined the jar and leaned over to check for breath. “Is he okay?” one anxiously asked. Indiana Jones stood up. “No. No he’s not. He’s dead.. And from the smell and this jar, I’d guess.. bad Vegemite.” ![]() Indiana Jones quickly checked the recently deceased’s backpack. It revealed that Doctor Ater Nox of the “Aussie Artifacts ‘R Us Institute” had been an Archeologist. “Well, no sense crying over spilt, uh…” Indy looked at the jar, “…stuff. Let’s get a move on and figure out what the deal is with this island - who brought us here…and why.” :ph43r: With that, our intrepid explorers begin Day 2. It will last for 48 hours from now. Good luck. |

Being lymphed probably wouldn't do you any harm. Might even cure something! Depends on how much lymph was used though. 10 gallons might be troublesome. |

*looks around cautiously* Are we going to discuss what happened last night or go on talking about vegemite sandwiches and suppress what happened last night? |

I'm not sure what to think really. Ater's a strong player, presumably that's why he keeps getting the boot during the first night. That doesn't help me pick a lynch target though. |

What both of you need to realize is that Marmite in the UK and "Marmite" in Aus/NZ are totally different things. Yummy > Marmite > Vegemite > "Marmite" > disgusting. Apropos of not a lot, VOTE: Lynch (Klopstock) |

Don't look at me. I never claimed to know anything about vegemite! I've been wondering who among the Islanders would be likely to target Ater. LC and Hahiha see Ater a lot at the update (as do I). They might not target him right off the bat. Aersoldorf and Markanite have known him a lot longer though. I'm not sure about Markanite's gaming experience, but Aersoldorf plays with Ater all the time and has been unusually quiet so far. Besides, it was recently Delegate's Day in the islands. Vote: lynch Aersoldorf |

I agree. As a fellow Californian, I can vouch for Klopstock not knowing anything about Vegemite. That, as well as Aerso's unusual quietness this game, leads me to suspect him much more strongly than Klop. Vote: Lynch Aersoldorf |

Since Al is a staunch no lynch lyncher and has decided to go after someone who lynched someone last day phase rather than someone who didn't I'm thinking that is mighty suspicious behaviour so I'm going to say... vote: lynch Almonaster |

Al's Day 1 vote also bothered me. Sure, Mark voted No Lynch, same as me. We both feel that it gives the village a better chance of winning. Why then does Al's vote for Mark bother me? Simple, there was a very real chance that DPL or Sauron was going to be the victim that day but almost no chance at the point that Al cast his vote that Mark would be lynched. It seemed to me a sneaky way of attempting to remain 'in character' (ie voting for someone who voted No Lynch) while staying away from the actual lynching of someone who would be shown to be innocent (in the case of Sauron we know now that he was innocent, we have yet to determine if the same is true about DPL). If Al truly wants to see a lynch each day I think he should have voted for one of those two players rather than going off on his own and voting for Mark. Both the lynching of Sauron and the choice of Ater as the night 1 kill point strongly to someone from 10KI being a bad guy (maybe even 2 of them). There were 5 votes against Sauron on day 1, 4 of those came from 10KI players and the other came from DPL as a strategic move to save his own neck. Of the 4 10KI players who voted for Sauron, 3 remain. We know Ater was innocent, but I understand Ater voting for Sauron after the brilliance Sauron displayed in the last Resistance game and the last WW game he played on our forum. That means that I believe that at least 1 and possibly 2 of the remaining bad guys are to be found in the pool of LC, Klop and Hahiha. Of those, I most strongly suspect LC, although I can't really rule out either of the other 2. LC just seems to hop on bandwagons thus far without really stating any reasons that justify his votes. That being said, I'm voting for Al Lynch Almonaster |

With just over 3 hours left I'm worried we may see a flood of last minute votes. If that occurs then it would behoove us to pay close attention to those folks tomorrow |
