In one small town in the heart of Parkplace there were a group of friends that were very close. Unsuspecting to them everything was about to change. They were unaware that three of their number had been contacted by a radical group from Wild Mustanges. None even knew such a group could exist in that peace loving nation to the south. They were wrong however and three were being led down a path to committing terrible deeds. All would have been lost then and there, but something strange started to happen. One of the members started having vivid dreams and nightmares about going ons in the village. They alerted the two cops that were in charge about the upcoming danger and they called a meeting to decide what to do. The following is a transcript of the meetings as well as any unfortunate occurrences when the group had to get some rest. Nobody knows what will happen. Will the village be overrun or will they succeed in stopping this new threat...only time will tell.

Instructions
During the Day phase, villagers discuss whom they'd like to lynch. At the end of each Day phase, the person with the most lynch votes will be killed and their role will be made public. I will allow 'No Lynch' votes for those who don't wish to kill anyone, but be warned - sometimes this strategy can help the village and sometimes it helps the mob.

During the Night phase the Defenders each select 1 person to protect. If the mob target a defended person then their attack will fail and nobody will die. A Defender may not defend the same person on consecutive nights. The Seer can select 1 person each night to scan, thus learning that person's role in the game. Whether or not the Seer chooses to contact someone after learning their role is left up to the Seer. The Mafia as a group select 1 person each night to kill. The person they select will die unless defended.


During the day phase you should discuss options with one another. Villagers are tasked with finding and killing all of the Mafia. Mafia need to remain hidden long enough to kill enough of the Villagers to ensure a win.

The Village wins if they kill all of the Mafia, the Mafia win if the number of living wolves equals or exceeds the number of living Villagers (the Seer and any Defenders are included in the Village tally)

You may discuss any aspect of the game you wish within the game thread. Since there's no way for me to monitor pm discussions I will say this: you may pm others about the game. You may claim to have a certain role - but YOU MAY NOT SEND a screenshot of the pm showing your role to anyone nor may you post it anywhere. It's one thing for a mobster to pm someone and 'claim' to be a villager or defender, it's quite another for a seer to send his role to everyone in the game and prove he is who he says he is. It's considered cheating to do this as it ruins the fun of the game.

Day phases will last for 48 hours and Night phases will last for 24 hours. Voting may begin at 9pm Eastern time today (December 18th 2014)

You are 100% correct. You HAVE said it before, here's the quote:

That is from the first WW game here. Your role that time? Wolf.


I have this fight quite often over in 10KI with Echo and others who favor lynches every day. I'm the most stalwart defender of the 'no lynch' strategy. We just finished our 40th game back home. The village won in part because we didn't lynch anyone for the first 4 or 5 days. We let the seers build an army. Over in RIA we just concluded another WW game. I argued against lynching there as well. We made no kills for 2 days and won the game.

In this game we begin with a 7-3 advantage. If we guess wrong twice and the bad guys rub one of is out each of the first 2 nights then it's game over. In 2 days. By not lynching we can extend that to 4 days. That gives the seer time to work and it prevents us from mistakenly killing a good power role today and prevents us from killing someone that the seer has scanned on future days.

If the seer is killed then we start lynching, doing so before that happens is riskier for the village and plays into the hands of the mobsters.

So again I cast my vote:

I'll listen to any accusations. There's actually a pretty good chance of lynching a wolf in the first round: thirty per cent. That chance increases if we have reason to suspect anyone. And from last game, I've learned that the Canadians are pretty good at knowing who's acting suspiciously around here. :ess:

Last game's friends might eat me in the night, and last game's enemies might be voting with me during the day. Need a short term memory in this game! :scared:

The odds of successfully lynching a wolf this phase is 30% at best. There is a chance that if one of them were on the chopping block that the others would save him/her.

Even at that rate though, the odds are more than 2:1 that we lynch a good guy and the odds of lynching a good power role by mistake are the same as the odds we get a thug.

I can see the logic in both arguments, to be fair. The only thing that leans me more to lynching than not lynching is the fact that for every 'no lynch' we go with, the wolves still kill one of our own. That exponentially increases their chances of winning to ours. If we wait it out two day votes, were two villagers down by day three and the seer potentially still has no army.

I'll see what other arguments are made before I vote, though.

The trouble is it speeds up the Mafia's advantage. We kill off a villager 95% of the time and risk losing a power role in the process while a Mafia usually work together and prevent one of their own from being lynched.

If no one has any objections I will allow it. I will choose a selection of people from the list and fin in and then reassign roles for that group. Day phase will be suspended until a decision is reached. If everyone agrees I'll do the changes later tonight or tomorrow afternoon is necessary.
