Thanks, Aersoldorf! Hmm... I believed that Ess was targeted on consecutive nights. Didn't know I was the last one though. A parting gift from Disposablepuppetland no doubt.

There was a bit of confusion on the part of the wolves. After targeting Ess on night 3 and being blocked they thought that she couldn't be defended again on night 4. The rules may have been a bit ambiguous to that end and I'm sorry that they misinterpreted the rule that way. If they had explained their reasoning to me at the time I'd have made it more clear, but in truth once ParrrrTay was scanned the game was lost. |

I noticed that there has been almost 3,000 views of this thread so I believe that these games are a great way to increase the level of activity on this forum - much as they are for us in 10KI |

My first night block of Ess was random, just to set me off-cycle with the other defender and enable exactly that alternating protection for the seer. It looks like it worked out well in the end. I thought Klopstock rather than Hahiha was my comrade-in-arms though.

I think the beginning of our downfall was Ayunli ignoring Shay and I when we wanted to target Ess and going for Sauron instead, which gave her away.
It seems the defenders knew Ess was the Seer from night 1. How did that come about? In fact, Al seemed to know Ess was the Seer, even though he was never scanned. |

As I said above, my initial protection was random - just a lucky guess. I thought it highly likely that at least one wolf would be among those on the first bandwagon, so I worked my way through those. Ess PM'd me after Ayunli's death claiming to be the seer. That fitted with what I had already worked out, so I believed her. Klopstock also PM'd me that phase, asking me to protect Ess, which I did. |

That's funny, to me! I am not the type to be able to pm somebody a lie, even in a game. Mattie and I went round and round for a bit, before believing each other. I can't see Mattie lying, either. (If she had, I would have been shocked, knowing her as I do! )Is fun trying to figure out who is who and Klop helped me out, soooo much!! |

I'm afraid stone-faced lying is a key to good play. You're not alone, though - many people find it hard to lie, and I had noticed that ParrrrTay never denied her wolfyness when challenged. Mattie takes the interesting tack of sounding slightly woolfy when she's not. Her posts sounded very much like last game when she was a villager, so I had her pencilled in as one this time too. The Land was also consistent. Because I don't know the 10000 Islanders as well, they were much harder to read. I was pretty sure it was either Klop + Hahiha or neither. Once Ayunli was killed, I was pretty sure of ParrrrTay, so they were in the clear. I kept a fairly comprehensive analysis sheet, but at the end of the day I drew more from my knowledge of the people. |

Definitely the best game we've played on NSC. Trebly interesting trying to figure people out. Shame I was mistaken for a wolf... I figured out ParrrrTay all too late, unfortunately!

Ayunli and you were both burned before that point. Our main concern was finding the third wolf actually, but Ess had a hunch about ParrrrTay.
That was a major feature for me at least. Ess, Matilda, and you had suspicions about the other Canadians. Hahiha and I had to rely more on deduction and gameplay. It worked out well in the end, but still. Hard to suspect "Shay" when you have no idea who Shay is!
You weren't scanned. I wasn't gonna give you everything! :ph43r: The one wrinkle that bothered me was Shy Guy. He was a villager this time, but he could have been a power role. I wondered whether he could be wolfie3 after Ayunli and DPL were lynched. What then? That might be something worth considering next time. |

I am not above stone-faced lying for this game. One lie I didn't throw into the mix - the one Ess knew about and forbade me  I do like playing at being a wolf yes, for reasons I will keep to myself for now ![]() Shy Guy was certainly inactive for this game, but it does interest me as well, how a game might play if a wolf were inactive. Pretty much doomed if a defender or a seer were I reckon, unless you are a wolf that is. |

It certainly was an interesting game...even being a lowly villager. I'd be game for another game, even running it if people would like me to. |

Maybe in your mind, but not the village as a whole. They (including Ess) lynched Stormaen after that. Our next targets would have been Al or The Land. Both would have been useful kills.
I think you're confusing me with Parrrrtay. I was lynched last. |
