Waiting for the night to fall

And with that I believe that it's probably best to go ahead and end the game and declare a draw. I don't see a fair way to recover from the initial mistake which was entirely my fault and I apologize once again for my gaff. In retrospect I will say that I honestly thought that the wolves could and should have still been able to win after I acknowledged my mistake. Even with Al getting lynched, they knew the identity of the remaining defender and the seer. They also knew that Auq couldn't defend himself during the next night phase, so if they kill Auq then The Land could have only scanned one more person. There were still 2 wolves and 2 villagers to choose from so it would've been impossible to verify both of their identities. That would leave the village guessing and it would come down to a very close finish. But, with DPL and Barry's moves today that sort of ruined their chances and so I think it's best to stop this one and try again. If DPL hadn't switched his vote then we'd have had a tie and the wolves would have won in the night phase. Once again, I hope you'll forgive my faux pas. I hope also that I haven't put negative thoughts about the game into your minds. I think it's really fun to play and had hoped to share that fun with you. If there's any interest in trying again just let me know. I promise to calculate the balance of power more carefully and to post accurate information. |

No worries Aerso. I actually thought it was pretty fun. After Barry made his move I started to believe Auq as I would have done something very similar as Barry had I been a wolf just to cause confusion. Sorry I didn't believe you Auq. |

Yeah, I think the game was fun. I certainly hope Canada will give it another go. I love this game. If you think this one was a bit brutal, you should see the fights that break out in XKI. And no problem, Aerso. Every game has it's mistakes - we're all human....Oh. Wait. I'm a Wolf. Sorry. |

It was fun. Mind you I was totally shocked the villagers were so happy to see me lynched! ...I had missed the rule about defending a different person each night and had hoped a declaration would leave the other defender (but apparently there were two) to quietly defend me while I defended villagers - silly me! I see all sorts of other problems with this now, but then I have always been one that jumps in where angels fear to tread ![]() Nonetheless, I must apologise for my noob mistake! As an after thought, if nobody believes me when I am telling the truth *sob* what are they going to think when I am lying It would be fun to have another crack at this Aerso. I think you are a terrific host

Good Game played on all sides here (including the GM), a draw was probably the right thing to do here. I certainly hope this catches on in Canada. |

Are you kidding? If anything the 'faux pas' makes me want to play it more! ![]() It's just a shame I was the first one out. I knew saying I was "getting this game" would single me out! Bring on Game The Second!

It's probably good that we got a lot of mistakes out in the open this time, so everybody has a good feel for what's going on next time. Apologies to Auq, too - by my second post in this phase I had figured out what was going on, but my wolfish instincts kept me going for the lynch. My first time as a wolf - very interesting. We did have an easy time of it, but I think we played well. Thanks Barry and DPL for their part in team Wolfenbad. |
