I keep not getting to this last report.

I will, but until then, we must applaud Almonaster Nuevo's athlete Sawa Brindish won Canada bronze at the ’Spice My World’ Cocktail Making and Judges’ Toast.

 :cananim:  Sawa Brindish

Canada wins another bronze, this time in the last games event, the "Spice My World” Cocktail Making and Judges’ Toast.
Our hearty congratulations go to Sawa Brindish of Almonaster Nuevo.

The win was however attributed less to the drink....
Barry

Despite Sawa's cocktail being as 'weak as a 10 day old kitten', it was extremely tasty. Her compliment of Judge Mortimer G. Hornsnapple the Third's nose hair earned her full points for the toast.

Also winning bronze we have:
Mybody Isablade from La Vida De Sangre.
The Mouth of Sauron from Souron.

Silver went to:
Shy Guy's Garry the Butler.
Smaug the Magnificent from Malkir.
M'ekuele Annan from Elke and Elba.

Gold went to:
Melanie Chisholm from Tierra de Madre
Penguiel Nelson from Pengu

Wow, those last couple toasts are starting to jerk the tears right out of me, Bullseye. So, I’m going to kind of end this with the liquid stylings and toast of Manuel “Manny” Calavera of Randomain, XKI. I sort of admire his “let’s party while we can” approach. Although Manny refused to reveal its ingredients, he claimed it was appropriately named the “Optimistic Fatalist.

Today the winners of the Shelter from the Storm were announced.

These plaques are named after one of the most beloved Islanders to ever grace the fair shores and pristine beaches of 10000 Islands, Shelter from the Storm. A long time Mayor of Taco Island, Shelter’s unsurpassed wit and good-natured approach toward all with which he interacted, set a standard for fun, friendship, and congeniality that will forever be remembered and always constitute an integral part of the true spirit of 10000 Islands.

The Shelter Award is presented to the following Visiting Nations for having made outstanding contributions toward fostering friendly Inter-Regional relationships during the course of the Islanders Beach Championship:

Matilda Love (Canada)

The Devil Heart leader’s reporting on Knut Braveheart’s overcoming the adversity of being raised by sharks to win the Gold Medal in the “Wipe Me Out Not! Surfing" event was as heartwarming as it was inspiring. Was there anyone not crying in their shark fin soup after reading this fishy powerful tribute of loyalty to his ‘parents’ for sharing their food with him as a beach bum child? We think not.

NewTexas (Texas)

He provided us with arguably one of the sexiest hottest fairest Judges in the IBC, LuLuBelle Lugnut. Additionally, he graced everyone at the games with the most scrumptious sushi and barbequed fish to be found anywhere in…uh…Texas. ‘Nuff said pardner.

Celestial Maple (Wysteria)

She courageously championed the often under-respected abilities of cougars mature female athletes throughout the competition, and was also willing to provide Judge Holly Hoop a ride home to Wysteria when no one else would give Ms. Hoop the time of day. Her empathy for the truly unfortunate in society was a real life lesson for all.

Evil Lord Sauron (Mordor)

The Evil Lord seemed to thrust beast after beast and wizard after wizard into the competitive fray, in a valiant effort to win Gold for his nation and region in the IBC. Although his quest remained regrettably elusive to the end, such wondrous creatures have rarely menaced visited our shores in such numbers, or with such vigor.

Solskin (Yggdrasil)

The athletes from this strange land of shape shifters provided numerous intriguing interviews and descriptions of their hopes, aspirations, tribulations, and poetic tendencies throughout the course of the various contests. A colorful and entertaining fabric of his nation’s culture and creativity was woven indeed.

*

Congratulations to all the recipients.

In other news.....

Herzil

We wish to apologize for the behavior last night of our "Spice my World" representative; Mrs Fern Sambuuuko!!!

Mrs. Sambuuuko didnt hold back and swung a 5 Liter Calvados bottle at her attacker knocking him down!!

suffices to say that the local police was called to the scene....

Congratulations to Spiritus on winning the The Beachcomber's Trophy! In the end they were awarded one gold medal between their two nations. Canada, Mordor and the RIA fell short of winning the trophy be a single gold medal.

The Islanders Cup went to the nation with the most points over the entire games:
