I keep getting this message when trying to upload a new avi (jpg) from my puter. I resampled to 150 x 117 pixels and still get the error? Can anyone tell me why?

"Board Message
Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.

The error returned was:

You are not allowed to upload that type of file as an avatar or personal photo"

That message is given regardless of what the actual error is. The most common problem is the file size. I think the limit is 25k. You could try re-saving at a lower quality/higher compression level.

If that doesn't work, another option is to upload it to a hosting site (Imageshack, photobucket/etc.). You can then use the "link to online avatar" option.

Shout again if you're still having problems.
