You! Yes...YOU....
The year is barely begun, and already the famous are dropping dead.

As the Rocky Horror Picture Show theme crooned, "Anne Francis stars in...Forbidden Planet."
So she did, and what a memorable movie it was, too. Many of the FX shots stand the test of time even after 63 years. But she will not star in the remake, because at age 80, she's bowed out for the final time. Earlier, co-star Leslie Nielson (he was the captain of the C57D) blazed the trail for her...

Also today, Pete Postlethwaite died at the fairly young age of 64. He's best remembered, I think, for his role as the contemptable, insane Sgt. Obadiah Hakeswill in the Sharpe movie series. As Sean Bean's sworn enemy, he was absolutely perfect, turing in performances that go well beyond a mere Oscar. "Says so in the Scriptures, it do!" as Hakeswill would say...

Oh that's a shame. Pete Postlethwaite was a great actor. Very good in Sharpe, and also in The Usual Suspects.
