With the successful Red Revolution, the former totalitarian, enigmatic and ruthless Nationalist Party was removed from power -- symbols of Kildor's dark and horrid past were torn down and the cult of personality that was around Chancellor Hirsch was ripped down. The Democratic Socialist Party of Kildor became the new rulers of the country. Although they brought upon a message of hope, they had inherited a country that was at war; experiencing the worst famine in the country's history; widespread poverty; and an almost non-existent economy.

The leader of the Democratic Socialist Party, Andrei Goldstein, has promised his people that he will make a proactive movement towards improving the living conditions of his countrymen and turn the dying economy around. Already hundreds of individuals are being given a job in renovating the nation's highways, railways and communication lines in order to bring them up to speed with the rest of the world. The population of Kildor had exploded over the previous decade and these new citizens required homes: ten thousand men were hired by the government to build public housing to provide a roof over each person's head -- new cities and towns were established: Pugachev, Berezina, Ekaterine, Kazlinsk, Eraliev and Pallasovka. In these new towns, the Democratic Socialists opened new buildings to offer services to the public without charge and place responsible and loyal members of the Party in office to administer.

With the increasing population, the food supply had suffered tremendous stress. Many had to stand in food lines for hours to just obtain the basic foodstuffs to support their families but they knew times would be better so they did not riot. The Ministry of the Economy was already implementing farming reforms which would increase food production fourfold within five years. Others are preserving the landscape and cleaning it up due to the poor environmental policies the former government enforced. Wages that had lagged in previous years were increased in an effort to increase worker morale -- and even the vast government offices ballooned to take on more workers to lower the unemployment rate. Some state-owned factories were sold to private investors and businessmen. Schatzi State Arms continued to be subsidized by the government.

The brave men of the recently-incorporated Kildoran Red Army had little choice but to continue the war against their northern neighbor after both sides failed to sign a ceasefire. Since the beginning of the war, thousands of been wounded or killed in action but they continue to have high spirits as they move into Central Terremedia. The army swells daily with more recruits from the poor rural areas who see this a war that will expand socialist ideas to other countries. The High Command have pledged that the war will be over soon.

During the reign of the Nationalist Party, a representative body was forbidden but Andrei Goldstein and his inner circle who had drafted a new constitution for the country created one from scratch. Representatives from across Kildor arrived at the Kasr in Alaghon for the first People's Assembly. The constitution was approved unanimously. At that moment, Kildor had a proper government with a democratically-elected legislature, an independent judiciary, and an executive who had the support of the people to act on their behalves.

Kildor's Premier, according to the new guiding document stated that Goldstein could only serve for one term of five years but all subsequent Premiers could serve indefinitely as long as they were popularly-elected by the people. Goldstein knew that he would run out of time -- he wouldn't waste any of it. There was work to be done.
