History

Wild Mustanges was founded in 222BC by people (Wanderers) searching for a new land. The people soon formed a working bond with the horses that populated the nation. As the nation grew, they became known for their peaceful nature and their excellent horsemanship skills.
In 1222, English settlers took over the original populace and set up a monarchy with Queen Danya being the first monarch. The two groups lived peacefully for several years until in 1422, the English, seeing horses as a profitable business started to export and reduce horse habitat. The Wanderers grew angered by what was happening to their life long companions, and with the help from outsiders overthrew the English rule.
For the next 30 years there was a period of great instability until a Wanderer Wiseman and an English Scholar met and figured out a way to make peace between the two factions. The Wanderers where well prepared to accept a negotiation because they had never known the violence that they had seen since 1422, and very much wanted to return to the old ways of peace. The English were wary of this negotiation because they thought it was a plot to further reduce their power, however when they saw that the Wanderers only wished to make peace they agreed to meet.
In 1502 a deal was made that created the nation of Wild Mustanges. The name was to honour the Wanderers history with the wild horses found throughout the nation. This nation became a Democratic Monarchy, with both Wanderers and English eligible to sit in the General Chambers. The Monarch however has traditionally only been English, although the power of the Monarch has diminished greatly over the past years.

Current Government
The Current Monarch is Janelle Brown. She has been monarch for the past 30 years and is expected to step down within the next 5 years.
Prime Minister Samantha White has served as Prime Minister for the past 30 years. She was first elected when she was 20, making her the youngest Prime Minister ever elected. Prime Minister White has been popular among both English and Wanderers because she is from both these races. She is known for her remarkable horsemanship and her fair judgment. The National Horse Party is the party that Prime Minister White is leader of, although The party the Prime Minister is a part of is not automatically the party that forms the government. At the moment the Conservative Jumper party holds the government after a surprise turn at the last elections.

Culture and Traditions

Wild Mustanges has many traditions besides being world renound for their horsemanship skills. The music industry offers a unique taste of the country. Many artists chose to try to capture the bond between horse and rider, while others try to capture the feelings that took place throughout our history. Everyone in the country learns some musical instrument throughout their schooling. Music and horsemanship are the two most important facets of the nation. There are several festivals dedicated to the arts year round. Most correspond with a horse competition of some sort.

Traditions are very important to the people. Every year large festivals are held to commiserate the signing of the treaty and the arrival of both the Wanderers and the English. The other major festival that takes place is the festival to honour the horse. All four festival draw large crowds to the larger cities and have traditional games and demonstrations.
