Disposablepuppetland has recently been extending its space program. Until now, we have concentrated on low-orbit satellites for mapping and navigation, but we recently sent a new satellite out on a high elliptical orbit to study the moon. This satellite is now in a fixed orbit around the moon and has sent back these pictures of planet Canada.

Seriously... HOW THE HELL YOU DO THAT?!?!

It's fairly straightforward really.

Using Photoshop: (I guess you could do it in Gimp too)

- Take a map and draw some clouds on it. Use a big soft brush to draw clouds and use the twirl filter to do vortexes. The smear tool is handy too.
- Use the circle selector tool to select as big a circle as will fit on the map. Make sure it is 1:1 aspect ratio.
- Use the 'spherize' filter on 100%. Then again on 50%
- Copy your planet onto a black background.
- Use layer effects 'drop shadow', 'inner shadow' and 'outer glow' in bluey-white to make an atmosphere. (Gimp doesn't have these, but there's probably some way to achieve the same effect)
- Use 'lighting effects' filter to do the sunlight-shadow.
- Add a lens flare if the sun is in view.

Firstly, I won't go near anything named "gimp"

Secondly, photoshop costs money, so TO HELL with that... <_<

Lastly, I have no need to create worlds oh creator! :hail:
