Haggis is English, apparently :ph43r:

Reading this article, I don't like the attitude of that "world champion haggis maker" (nothing better to do?) who basically shits all over the theory because it doesn't conform to what he wants.

He probably still thinks the Scots invented whisky...even though the Chinese were drinking it before Christ  :P

I always thought haggis was one of those things introduced to Scotland by someone else but didn't think the English did it. Just because it's written by an English person first doesn't mean its made by them first in my view.

Well most people think the bagpipes are a Scottish invention, but actually they were invented by the Persians. So it's probably another one of those things.

The Chinese and the Persians invented almost everything, but that doesn't make guns or algebra their exclusive property.

Did Canadians invent maple syrup? It's just a symbol.

I think it's silly to say haggis isn't REALLY Scottish, especially if it's the English saying it! LOLOL

Sorry - just think it's funny that groups that are so close clash on the st00pidest stuff.

*still chuckling*

The Scots have invented a few things, including:
MRI body scanner,
fingerprinting,
the pneumatic tyre and the pedal bicycle,
golf,
the waterproof coat,
wire rope,
the Banks of Scotland, England and France,
discovering insulin, penicillin and the vaccine for typhoid,
the kaleidoscope,
the digestive biscuit (most important to me)
and last but not least Bovril.
