My position changes every time I take the test, even though I put the same answers...

I come back to this occasionally. I'm always near the bottom left, but slide about by a few points. This time I got

Economic Left/Right: -6.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.92

which is fairly close to my average.

Why "oh dear"? Sounds perfectly respectable to me. The negatives are not judgemental, just the way the numbering runs.

My head is spinning.
Sometimes I read from a conservative magazine called 'Quantum'.
I tell myself it's good to put myself in someone else's shoes.
There are some good articles in there from time to time.
Actually lately I've stopped reading it, I need to take another look by now I think.

And I think about Chavez.
Does our political yen matter, as long as we are at least trying to do the right thing by one another?
I realise that in the end he may have done his country something of an infrastructure dis-service and therefore hasn't actually shown care.

But I hope I'm explaining what I mean in my usual tangle, fraught with uncertainties.
Clearly I have a vision.
But I don't know if there is a place for this level of idealism in this dirty and fraught old world of ours :(

This chart is pretty shocking! What, all the EU countries are right authoritarian? Even Scandinavia?!

Governments have always tended to be authoritarian (no surprise, really), but the whole world has taken a lurch to the authoritarian right over the last decade particularly.

And from December 2013: https://www.politicalcompass.org/printableg...-5.75&soc=-7.95

Looks like I've moved further left by a few points on the economic dimension in the last 2.5 years, but overall my position hasn't changed much.
