My thoughts on this issue-

It is not a bailout of the Auto Companies, it is a bailout for the Unions. You have foriegn Cars companys making cars here in America better and cheaper than American owned companies. They are paying to much to employees because of the Unions. The Foriegn owned companies are doing great, because they are not paying out the arse to union employees.

For the record, Toyota and other "Foriegn made cars" are American made. They are built here in the US. We have a high standard when it comes to building cars.

Canada report sees huge job loss if Detroit 3 fail

A collapse of the Detroit Three automakers would put nearly 600,000 Canadians out of work within five years, most of them in Ontario, as the impact ripples through the entire economy, a report released on Tuesday said.

If the Detroit Three were to cease production, 323,000 Canadians would lose their jobs immediately, including 281,800 in Ontario, according to the council, a panel that advises the provincial government. The number would rise to 582,000 nationally and 517,000 in the province by 2014.

If I'm correct with my calculations, that would raise Canada's unemployment around 7% on top of what it already is.
