Touching Strangers - a photo project

The photographer asked strangers to touch one another for these photographs.

OK - apparently I did not do a good job of naming this thread, and for that I apologize to the mods and everyone.

I believe it's a very thought-provoking photo project and an interesting question. Obviously I've overestimated maturity levels of some.

Find that funny  However I expected more unlike couples. Sometimes it does look more like family than strangers to each other.

My favorites "Lindsay and Mark, 2007" or Alberto and Rick, 2007

I sniggered but knew that it had to be something different :) An interesting project.

I guess what I liked best was it appears that nobody was harmed in the making of this project.

I could try this, although I think most people around here would walk away quietly questioning my sanity if I ask them to pose together.

I like that they are subtle.

Carlos and Alex - he's making a fist rather than relaxing his hand.

Paul and Carol - that's some touch for strangers!

Yun Jiem looks like he'd rather be holding on to a large fish than touching Lotte

William says, "Melissa, you can touch me, but hands off mah dawgs!"

The wedding dress one is wonderful.

Wonder if any of these folks decided to go for coffee or a bit more afterwards?

It reminds me of 'Hands Across America', which was arguably the single coolest charity event of all time.

Maybe it's because I come from a N. Irish immigrant family, a culture infamous for never touching, that this whole experiment makes every bit of me cringe. The idea of someone putting their arm around me raises the hackles.

Still, it did its job. It's a great reflection of humanity, that everyone from the suit upstairs to the star gazer in the gutter are all just trying to be them. It's a nice piece.
