Sadly, attacks such as this are a regular occurrence in India.

Not on this scale, however.

BBC reported the terrorists ordered British and American tourists to surrender themselves or else be shot. The terrorists are apparently a Pakistani militant group.

I love India and it's such a shame that the world's largest democracy (by electorate) is still the target of hateful people who would seek to undo it all. I hope the Indian government gets kick-ass on those terrorists.

I agree that terrorism has to be prosecuted. But I hope the Indian government doesn’t come up with the great idea of a sweeping attack. Even when currently Pakistan is cooperating with India in some way, both countries have territorial differences in Kashmir. Such a terroristic incident might be the start (or even intentionally used) to escalate.

No matter what course of action India takes, I guarantee the militants of rural and tribal Pakistan will see it as an afront to their way of life. As one Indian said on BBC News, "No matter what we do, these terrorists will always what our downfall."

I, also, hope India doesn't take to overt military strikes, as this really could trigger something huge. Pakistan currently has a forward thinking government that is very much at odds with these terrorists. However, that can be problematic for both governments, regardless of how close they work together.

There needs to be justice, but India mustn't stoop to the levels of the terrorists with petty, and frankly, DANGEROUS assaults.

Kyle "both countries have territorial differences in Kashmir"

So has China, who has sneakily enter the Kashmir region and secretly claimed it as its own, wonder why nobody has notice this

Certain governments have "chosen" not to realise this. China is becoming the centre of the world's economy and manufacturing industries, if you have disputes with China, she'll simply stem supplies and your economy will feel the pain of your political "mistake".

India has long been complaining to the international community about China's unlawful "advance" (read "invasion") into the Kashmir region. However, the European Union and the United States in particular have failed to respond to the idea with one Belgian (and pro-Chinese) European Union official saying, "India often sees what is not there."
