Actually for terms of science and scientific research, especially when it comes to human based sciences, the UK is the best in the world for it. It's cheap to do research there, the governments here may have come from different parts of the political spectrum but they're all pro-science and the UK spirit is to find out all there is to know. Germany and Japan are best for physics based scientific studies and research and stuff but for biology based sciences the UK is already acknowledged as one of, if not the, foremost nation in the world. Newcastle University is well known for that kind of thing. |

if the united states provided grants to scientists/improvements, then the USA would be the heaven for science, a catalyst if you will. I think the United States had made many wonderful inventions over the years. some stupid, some epic. I think the earth is in it's infancy in science terms. We still have a tad bit to go before we enter the bronze age of science. If we get the whole earth the learn, then we could be in the gold days within decades. |

Land, the site you posted is a parody site. There's some fine print at the bottom of the home page which is pretty funny. ![]() However, this one here is authentic. The forums are good for lulz: http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/

I didn't mean it would take me less than five hours to fly half-way around the world (I wish), I meant in less than five hours from that time I'd be flying half way around the world back to the UK. The flight got massively delayed and I'm only just in Hong Kong right now...damn humanity not having light speed... |
