Good idea, Fin. I support it. You should totally get a small comic strip every Saturday too. |

1. Jobs in The Moose Weekly Chief of Press (CP): The boss, who decides what stories stay and what goes. The organizer of the paper. Head Editor (HE): The second hand man to the CP, who edits the stories for grammer, spelling and what not. Also advises the CP of what stays and goes. Publisher: The computer guy, who brings The Moose Weekly from paper to forum and makes the paper look pretty. Reporters: Their jobs are to gather, investigate, and write stories. 2. Wanted: Reporters, a Publisher, and Head Editor The Moose Weekly wants you. Yes, citizens of Canada, heres your chance to do somin’ worth wild for Canada and somin’ fun to do as well. Do you enjoy writing stories and investigating leads then you should be a reporter. Are you onea those people that correct peoples grammer when they talk to you? Do you like to spell and give advice? Then you should be the second in command for The Moose Weekly, the Head Editor. Do you like working with computers? Are you a proud computer nerd? Do you know how computers work? If so become a publisher. If you are interested in being a reporter, a publisher, or a head editor please either contact me, Fin, or tell your interest on this thread 3.How Things Could Work How I think this will work is that the reporters e-mail their stories to the HE. The HE takes a look at the stories and then e-mails them to the CP. The CP then either green lights a story or decides not to put the story in the paper. The CP then gets the paper in order and e-mails it to the publisher. The publisher dolls up the paper and puts it on the thread. So it will go somin’ like this… Reporters-HE-CP-Publisher-Forum If you have a better way of doing this please don’t keep it a secrete. 4.What We Have so Far CP: Fin Gossip Reporter: JT Reporters: Kyle |

Having the Moose Weekly is only part one of my two part idea, the other half is having a local newspaper for the nations that reside in Canada. The reason for having a local paper is to have fun with your nation and to tell other folks whats goin on in your nation. So heres my newspaper, it did have pictures but they decided not to show up so I hope you use this thread and have fun with it |

The Grey Star Press The News of The Confederacy of Vainamoinenia and its territory, The Commonwealth of The Valandia States C.V.S Senate Declares Independence Yesterday, in the Senate of The Commonwealth of The Valandia States (C.V.S), have declared independence from Vainamoinenia. Chairman of the Senate, Benedict Nathan, said in his speech “For too long our state has been under the tyrannical heels of Vainamoinenia. We pay taxes to them without representation and we send our boys over to join their military. I say this must stop. We’ve have ask President Fin on many occasion to give us the right to run our state more freely without the interference of our Mother Country. He said no, so we then demanded it. He still said no. So now it comes to this, we must declare independence from Vainamoinenia so we can be free once again. Sic Semper Tyrannis.” After the Chairman of the Senate gave his speech an over whelming applause rang out. The Senate cast their vote and decided to secede. At Vainamoinenia’s capital, New Helsinki, President Fin gave his own speech at King’s Square, outside of Vainamoinenia’s senate building. “There has been word that our brother state, C.V.S, has declared independence. I will go over there to try to negotiate and talk things down. Hopefully this minor insurgence will not lead to blood shed but if it does, we will not stand down. We will not let this Union break apart. Thank You.” After the speech the President left in his helicopter, Marine One, to fly over to Nova. The C.V.S. capital. Should The Government Grant Estates And Titles Of Nobility? The House of Representatives has passed a bill giving men and women of great importance land and titles of nobility. Today the Senate will debate on the issue. Republican, Steve Newton of the county of Inuit Land and an advocate of small government stated that “It would be an apt reward for people’s contributions to Vainamoinenia.” Democrat, Joseph Marlow of the county of New Moscow stated that “The bill also said that people will be bound to the land. We can not allow a democracy to become feudalism.” The Democrats are the minority, while the Republicans are the majority. So the democrats have talked to the smaller party leaders in the senate, John Walker of the Socialist party and Calvin Rounds of the Libertarian party to form a pact to fight against this bill. Right now the Democrat leader Ben Jackson is reading the phone book to prolong the voting. Bill of Rights? Since Vainamoinenia transition from a constitutional monarchy to a democracy has been suspect at best. The citizens are crying out for a bill of rights. Mayer Juniper Lee of Jackson City, “We have had problems of transition, there are still too many traits left over from the monarchy. We need a bill of rights now.” There has been a pension by the citizens to President Fin about a bill of rights. President Fin had no comments on the issue. Man Saves Cat from Tree In the little town of Bobtin, a local fisherman saved a kitty from a tree. Local fisherman “I saw this cat in a tree so I was like, ahh I gotta save that there cat. So I did.” |

Actually that sounds rad Al. I agree with your point and I think we could fit it in. Also I like your cross word puzzle idea. So is there a way to get rid of this thread? |
