Choose two that you dislike.

Since we all like to talk about the weather, I thought I'd make a thread. :)

And for those near the north Atlantic...

Snow day!

I said hurricane and tornado.  :ph43r:

We don't generally have hurricanes and tornadoes here so I have no real idea if I would like them or not. :P
I picked weather conditions we have here that I don't like.
100+F (35+C) and Sub zero temperatures

Although I would probably fear a hurricane or a tornado. :hide:

In Edinburgh we quite often get a sea mist, known as haar.

This turns what would otherwise be perfectly decent days into cold grey gloom. :(

Being in the North East, my write in vote is "Ice Storms". I also chose snow of any kind because I am sick and tired of it.

I have lived through a few hurricanes so they while a concern don't bother me much. Tornados on the other hand while very rare around here scare the living crap out of me.

As for the weather channel, since they still have not become aware that Maine is part of the USA, we generally get our weather guesses from other sources.

"Weather guesses"

I chose tornados because I have lived through many of them, and although they are not generally scary in and of themselves, they turn on a dime. I hate the unpredictability. People don't get enough warning to get the hell out most of the time. If I sound like Helen Hunt in "Twister" - you're right.

I hate very hot weather, whether there is humidity or not. I can almost always find a way to get warmer, but there is nothing you can do except use up a lot of energy on air conditioning. And even then, eventually you have to go outside.

Being in the north east like Mr. JT, I really don't get extreme weather such as a tornado or a hurricane. We do however sometimes get the leftovers of a harsh hurricane, which can cause a little damage here and there. For the most part, my area only has to deal with the constant snow in the winter and the mild summers.

Come to think of it, that statement is so true! Maine is never really pointed out by the meteorologists. Perhaps its either Maine kind of just blends in with Canada, or meteorologists, being Americans, have horrible geography skills.

Yeah dust storms suck, especially when you get lost in one. Some how find your way off the road and end up in the middle of the desert.

Hard on the teeth and eyes.

I don't think I could last long in a desert area. The dry winds seem to suck the life out of me, and I get very irritable. Grrrrr...

I don't even like the beach that much, unless a storm is coming in or it's sunrise/sunset or dark. Wet sand is OK, unless it's in my swimsuit... Get out of my way, I'm headed for the showers!!!!

Today - sunny and mild. I explained to my kids that unlike most places in the midcontinent, in Colorado March comes in like a lamb and leaves like a lion.
