It would cost me a lot more is wage loss than it would in savings if I took the day off to save only 2.40

I think it won't be as busy in the morning, I don't like busy cinemas.
Plus, I won't be going alone and they are all free in morn :shifty:

EDIT:
Wow. That was one sensational movie.

It's rated at 12A here (under 12s only with a parent) and that was one seriously dark movie (and genuinely disturbing in parts - I jumped out of my seat on at least one occasion some parts were that frightening) - a 15 if I ever saw one, at least. I saw on the news yesterday how the BBFC received 50 complaints from people who thought that The Dark Knight was incorrectly rated. I don't know how they arrived at that decision with such a psychologically-challenging and violence-laden movie. I heard not enough blood to warrant a 15. :eyebrow:

Still a good film though. My hit for 2008.

Heath Ledger's performance was initially praised after his death (only a couple of days after filming his scenes ended), I wasn't too sure if he was being praised posthumously at the time. He really was the star of the movie, I had completely forgotten about his role until I saw his in real detail hair. I would be surprised if he doesn't get Best Supporting Actor or even Best Actor at the Academy Awards.

It's a shame that Katie Holmes did not return to play Rachel (for continuity freaks like me); Kirsten Dunst is AC I guess.

I thought Maggie Gyllenhaal played Rachel?!

Also, Omni - Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, aren't part of a trilogy. Christopher Nolan, the writer and director, has said he's not planning a third movie, just how in the same way, when making Batman Begins he wasn't thinking of a sequel.

Seeing as how it's broken records at the box office, I can't see why there wouldn't be a third movie, but as it stands there's nothing in the pipeline. This may be the last Batman film Nolan makes, it may (*prays*) not be and there maybe more to come.

Ah, but the layout of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight cover a series of the original comic books; Nolan has covered several key points from the first few, and this leads into the final film which will cover the rest (or so according to a friend, who has read all of the comics).

Firstly:

The Dark Knight
It is everything the hype has said it is, it's the best film I've seen all year and the best I've ever seen in a cinema! (I first saw Batman Begins after it came out on DVD ages ago).

Kit gives The Dark Knight:
5/5 = Cooler than ice!

Secondly:

A wee bit of gossip. IF there is a third Batman film, which Gary Oldman says he is "confident of", then it'll be likely to protray the Riddler and one of the names suggested to play such was David Tennant, a.k.a. Doctor Who! :D Doctor Who isn't back until 2010 (not including Christmas specials) and so this leads me to think, he's got nothing to do next year...HIRE HIM AS THE RIDDLER!! Lol.

That was a mesmerizing movie. I subtitled it "Mr. Tumnus Goes Wrong... Very Wrong."

I thought "The Last King of Scotland" was a very good movie. It was especially interesting for me because I had watched so many documentaries about Idi Amin. I think the movie does a superb job of demonstrating the true personality of Idi Amin. The personalities of certain people throughout history is as fascinating as history itself.

The Forbidden Kingdom

As if Jackie Chan and Jet Li aren't enough, they tossed in Yifei Liu from Crouching Tiger fame.

This is a must see for any Kung Fu fans.

*Looks up local cinema listings*

No :(

Just got back from a later showing of Ghost Town; as I had no expectations going into it (it was chosen randomly by friends) it held up quite well. I'm not a big fan of Gervais but we were amicable in this setting.

From the weekend video files

Zombies Anonymous
Low-budget and surprisingly good plot and back story. Beware the body fluids.
  1/2

Death at a Funeral
Funny, funny, funny and a bit predictable, but still funny. Beware the body fluids, pt. 2. Alan Tudyk never ceases to entertain.

Deaths of Ian Stone
Odd and wonderful. From a contactmusic.com review: "If Groundhog Day collided with Final Destination and The Butterfly Effect after getting rear ended by The Matrix, you'd have The Deaths of Ian Stone"
