Give a movie reveiw, so we don't go to the very, very bad movies. I just saw Jumper, and very good. Good plotline, excellent action scences, and very good acting. Overall... 4/5

Weirdsville Interesting plot, characters, nice filmmaking a la Guy Ritchie, and it has all things you wait for in a rental: midgets, satanists and Taryn Manning. |

Interesting... Alvin and the Chipmunks: Very bad acting, only just a bit funny. Overall, a renter, nothing more. |

Today is Alfred Hitchcock day on Turner Classic Movies. Shadow of a Doubt Notorious The Man Who Knew Too Much North by Northwest Psycho The Birds I guess I'll be in front of the TV most of the day! I've seen Psycho and The Birds so many times I will probably skip them two. Alfred Hitchcock 5/5

Notorious is my fave of that bunch. Apparently I really like Ingrid Berman. Local Hero is on my rental list. Today's pick, however, is Holes. Good family movie with some really odd characters, interesting and fresh plot and a good cast - Sigourney Weaver, Shia Lebeouf, Henry Winkler...

The Other Boleyn Girl A few friends and I saw this film yesterday, as we are all history buffs. I walked into the theater expecting an accurate representation of Mary and Anne Boleyn along with King Henry. However, the film was basically a cheesy soap opera with actors in old costumes. Furthermore, the theater was packed with people who I am sure had no clue concerning what the movie was actually about. I give this one a 2/5

One, Two, Three Made in 1961, it's a social satire about relations between East and West Germany. James Cagney plays the Coca-Cola Company's man in Berlin, who's charged with keeping an eye on his boss' wild daughter while she is in town. It's hilarious.

Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story Hilarious parody of the music bio movie genre. Interstingly enough, the music is good, too. Sort of Forrest Gump meets Walk the Line. 1/2

I Am Legend Good acting from Will Smith and special kudos to his canine costars (cute scene-stealing doggies ). Good chills, thrills, and kills. This ain't no Resident Evil, it's better.

Thanks, Ess. After last night, though, it seems I won't need them just yet... Vantage Point Not as bad as the trailer made it look by far. A few cliches, but a well thought-out plot and great action. I watched the whole thing and only groaned once or twice. |

Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Though it has a formulaic and predictable ending, it has many zany parts to it that made it worth the price of admission (and it wasn't nearly as busy as the Harold and Kumar sequel, which I'll watch in a couple of weeks, once the lines have died down...) |
