Somehow I have developed a wrist technique to stop it fizzing out of the bottle. ;)

I havn't sang here for a bit so heres one from The Police titled So Lonely

Now no-one's knocked upon my door
For a thousand years, or more
All made up and nowhere to go
Welcome to this one man show
Just take a seat, they're always free
No surprise, no mystery
In this theatre that I call my soul
I always play the starring role, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely
So lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
So lonely, so lonely, so lonely
I feel lonely, I'm so lonely, I feel so low
I feel lonely, I'm so lonely, I feel so low

That is right; but you combined the past and the (present) perfect in 'has... went'.

This is from Wiki:

The boy saw the car. (Emphasis is on the fact that the boy saw the car.)

The boy has seen the car. (Emphasis is on the present state of the boy, resulting from the fact that he saw the car.)

More beer! :D

 I see...

Also, I have had Peroni  and I tend to savour it because I'm eating at the same time. Always drink Peroni with food, it's a bit bland on its own.

<------- here's a poker face :P

What game are you dealing...and is it limit or no-limit? :B)

----------
Nio, you ran into an irregular verb. For regular verbs the participle for the perfect tense is the same as the simple past form, but this is not true of irregular verbs. Examples:

To Watch (a regular verb):

Present tense - I watch
Simple past tense - I watched
Perfect tense - I have watched (participle "watched" = simple past form "watched")
Pluperfect tense - I had watched
Future Perfect tense - I will have watched
Future tense - I will watch

To See (an irregular verb):

Present tense - I see
Simple past tense - I saw
Perfect tense - I have seen (participle "seen" NOT simple past form "saw")
Pluperfect tense - I had seen
Future Perfect tense - I will have seen
Future tense - I will see

"To go" is also an irregular verb, so your confusion is understandable. Most of the basic verbs are irregular, unfortunately; however, this isn't something unique to English. *old memories of high school French - German was easier for verbs, but the cases!*

I should say, though, that I have met many people who only know English, and cannot communicate in that language as well as you do.

LOL... I need a beer...please tap a Guinness, my good sir :)

Same as in all the other contries that speak poker :

"Tapping the Aquarium" = Frightening the Fish...never a good idea, if you're looking to make money :B)

Whoops...I understand your confusion and apologize...I should have posted, "Tapping the Aquarium, eh?" :D

There's the problem. Damn irregular verbs! Afrikaans has a few but our grammar is much more straight forward than English. Example:

Present tense - Ek kyk ("I watch")
Simple past tense - Ek het gekyk ("I watched")
Perfect tense - Ek het gekyk ("I have watched")
Pluperfect tense - Ek het gekyk ("I had watched")
Future Perfect tense - Ek sal gekyk het ("I will have watched"/"I will be watching")
Future tense - Ek sal gekyk ("I will watch")

Alas, this talk of grammar is making me a bit mentalistic...

Forgive the grammar...I saw an opportunity to clear up a misunderstanding and acted upon it.

*slips behind the bar and taps a Guinness, slips back to stool, and leaves payment on the bar* Omni, ya gotta pour if you want the tip :P

*waits for the Guinness to become perfect, and then enjoys the first mouthful*

Is the poker game still on? :B)
