We had 90 mph winds blow through town, so there went the holiday decorations! The town looks a bit bleak, but the weather is kinda nice - 50F during the day and 25F at night.

Indoors either way!

Chuss, my brothers and sisters!

My parent's house is too cramped for an indoor party. :P

And it spins when I've been drinking...

I can't imagine every having a mid-summer New Years, but I'm game no matter the season!

Last year, the temperature only got down to 27C at 4am... at midnight it was still over 30C and I was sitting in a cark park, slowly frying on the bitumen.

A mid-summer NYE can be fun, if, well, you like summer.

I can't actually imagine a NYE in winter...

In these parts NYE is the second biggest party of the year...the first biggest is actually the tail end of January...and I won't be here for it!! For party loving first generation immigrants, my family sure have a lot of fun pride in celebrating a day off work Australianity!

As another note on NYE, me and the hardcore drinking mates made it to midnight London time! We watched on a news channel as Big Ben struck 12, thus "officially marking the new year throughout the world". Shortly after everybody collapsed out...

When did this happen :o :P

I just remembered my dad's face when we were getting our patio sorted ages ago and the designer mentioned the braai would be propane  my dad's face was a mix of  and

Btw, JT "kool" is Afrikaans for "coal". It's actually pronounced like "curl" without the "r" though
