I know a lot of folks on the board love the graphic novel based movies, so I will make a rare recom on a Keanu Reeves movie and say Go Rent Constantine!

I might be unable to sleep for a few nights now.

3:10 to Yuma

A remake of the 1957 classic, this time with Russel Crowe and Christian Bale in the lead roles.

Some very good character acting all round.

It is sooo on my list. I'll go to see Russell Crowe anytime. And then Christian Bale.. the best Batman so far. Sounds like a winner to me.

I saw The Number 23 last night, and I have to say... meh. It didn't suck, and the visuals were wonderful, but the plot was kind of boring and watered down with too much "chickness" for want of a better word. Didn't quite reach that level of suspense that keeps you watching. But Jim Carrey was very good this time.

Confession... I can't find the thread where RO(?)'s friend was starting to see 23 everywhere, and it was freaking him out. I was just thinking about that post and walking through the parking lot going to work. I saw my boss' car, and just for grins decided to memorize her license plate number. The letters were easy enough, but I couldn't think what to do with 185 to help me.

Guess what? I forgot the letters already. You know why I remembered 185.

:wall:  :B) :shifty:

I think that was me. And I don't remember what thread it was.

"23" is worth a look. Jim Carey in a straight role is interesting.

So, do you feel I was misleading?

It started out interesting and then got all mushy and predictable in the middle.

I saw the Bucket List today & I was disappointed, I thought it would be better seeing as it has two titans in it. It had a few funny parts but other then that not much more, although it is a great tearjerker, the ending is so incredibly sad :(

I liked the preview, but didn't plan on actually seeing the movie. Great premise.

No Country for Old Men is awesome. Coen brothers strike again!

I was into a string of documentaries for a while, including Tell Them Who You Are, which was actually filmed by Mark Wexler, son of filmmaker Haskell Wexler. That was kind of hard to watch - they didn't pull any punches with each other about the making of the film, or of their relationship through the years. The scenes with Jane Fonda trying to get them to make peace with each other is thought provoking and sad.

Starbucking is about a guy whose 7 year (so far) quest has been to have coffee in every Starbucks in the world, there being over 5,000 of them at present. Don't know what to think of the guy even now.

/correction - there are not 5 million starbucks in the world, only 5,ooo.

I saw extended trailers for it. I don't usually read reviews, but I did happen to see a brief comment about how Downey seemed like a strange choice for the role. WTF? He's perfect! Who was he expecting - Vin Diesel?
