Because this is Canada it wouldn't be proper not to love the greatest band ever, Rush. I have been a die-hard fan since I discovered them in the mid 90's. I personally think their best work is 2112 because of the diversity of styles used, but everyone has an opinion. I would be interested in learning about your thoughts on Rush.

I was always put off by the sound of Lee's voice. An unkind description would be that he yelps like a small dog, particularly on the early albums. He's improved over the years, but there's still an element of that there.

They have still managed to produce some great music over the years. I'm well out of date on what they are doing now - I don't think I have heard anything more recent than Test for Echo. Mentioning a few tracks at random from different periods, I like Bytor and the Snow Dog, Tom Sawyer, and Time Stands Still.

EDIT: Snakes and Arrows is more recent - listening to that now.

Yeah, Tom Sawyer and Time Stand Still are timeless classics for me. (Pardon my use of a pun.) Their most recent non-compilation album is Clockwork Angels, I think. If you didn't originally like Geddy's voice, that is the perfect Rush album for you. Their most recent album is A Farewell to Kings, its a compilation, but its still pretty good by their standards. In Canada, they play one of their songs on the radio every hour, so I'm always happy to listen! :D
