March Update and News; Forgot to post this for a while..

I haven't posted much here in a while, but I thought I'd post the update log and get some news going around about some of the additions that are coming.

News:


  • More events are being worked on and I'm very close to adding in the Assassin's Forest event. For anyone who has tested that, it's where everyone is sent into a forest, while one person is the assassin and is given a huge damage boost along with a lot more willpower, and kills everyone in the forest much quicker. Also, all forms of communication are shut off, so if you know who the assassin is you aren't able to blabber about it in the chat. Events are also going to be given a third and second place instead of just first to promote joining more.

  • Training and Grinding will hopefully not be as bad as I'm intending for ways to make training easier and am open to taking suggestions(Like Kenjutsu techs having a chance to raise kenjutsu for example). I'm also considering raising training speed for things in general slightly across the board. As of now if people haven't seen it yet I've began a Quest System of some sorts, with only one quest in right now, but it works fully and doesn't seem to be buggy. Quests will be very similar to an idea Fox once proposed that was along the ideas of a "Achievement chart". They'll be your generic quests, while some are more in depth. The harder the quest the better reward, offering mostly training experience and training(such as a boost in swift, or knowledge), but some quests will also give you scrolls and unique items. I am very open for people to give quest suggestions, as to what NPCs give a quest and what the objectives are along with rewards, they're very open for discussion and I feel as though it will give players a fun way to contribute if they want to.

  • Bug fixes and Balances are being worked on now much more frequently. As anyone who has seen in game now the Bug fix messages asking players to report bugs to the forums are being displayed a lot more frequently, as when I'm at work I'm checking the forums time to time for these issues, along with obvious balance issues, and working on them when I get home if I don't forget. Just know expect bug fixes to happen much more frequently than they usually do along with balance updates.(I update all the time, usually once every two days just forget to post logs)

  • Organization system is still being taken care of but mostly by Apophis, as I'm working on other things, sorry this still isn't in yet but just know that it is being worked on, and we look forward to bringing it to you all. Some of the stuff we have planned for it are listed in his guide, and we plan to even add more such as capturing bases which shouldn't be that hard to implement with this system because of the way it's coded.

  • For anyone who has been playing in the past few days you may have noticed that lag has gone down heavily. One of the largest issues I'm now attempting to take care of for the next week or two is going throughout the source and recoding several things to be much more efficient, which in turn will make the game less laggy. I was able to take care of a large issue with katon and a few other heavily lag inducing things like character regeneration which in turn has reduced lag quite a lot. I've heard people are now able to do chuunins, and even wars with very little to no lag while 90-100 players are online, so I see this as a much needed improvement. Lag isn't completely gone, but there is now very little as of two days ago since I've still been constantly working on it and I really hope to get it to that point. I look forward to making the game as lagless as possible for all to enjoy, and hope to make it exist no longer. :)

Update:


  • New Features/Additions:


    • Automated messages that are given throughout the world now display bug fix reporting a little more often(Hopefully we get more people reporting bugs :)!)

    • New AFK Check Button Improvements that changes the buttons colors

    • New AFK Verb for GMs that makes AFK Checks less of a problem for those using scripts

    • Monitors and Admins given new verb:

      • Manual Ban Jutsu: Type the Skillcard name in perfectly and it will be banned on the game
      • Unban Jutsu: Self explanatory

    • Admins given Monitor verb: Monitor Deletion




  • Bug Fixes:


    • Rock Flurry Disabled Again...(This jutsu might just need to be removed..to make up for it Mei Mei Jutsu is now fully working)

    • Fuuinjutsu HellSent and Five Element Seal can no longer be used to go through the three second rule

    • Bug fixed with Shadow Clones, Shadow Possession, and other jutsu not moving at full speed when running after a while

    • Bug fixed with Aburame Feast passive not being on the Clan skill tree

    • Bug fixed with Body Flicker overlapping into Touei's abilities, causing Touei to bug up

    • Bug fixed with anyone being able to learn Rock Flurry jutsu if they're not even in Rock

    • Bug fixed with Poster sometimes appearing too high in Sound and being unable to complete the missions for them

    • Bug fixed with Sabaku Gourd in Rock not having an Icon and being basically useless

    • Bug fixed with Shadow Clones dying causing a jutsu to go on infinite cooldown until relogging

    • Bug fixed with AoE gen automatically being able to be used by cancelling them

    • Bug fixed with Blood Ingested by a throwing Kunai or other ninja tools not properly giving you the proper person's blood

    • Bug fixed with Windmill Clone Attack causing your character to be unusable when this jutsu hit a wall

    • Bug fixed with Sharingan Genjutsu Reflect not properly working

    • Living Zombie Fixed and now Working

    • Gates Assault can now be used in the sixth gate

    • Phase should now turn off when you're knocked out

    • Bug fixed with Earth Flow River slamming you into walls way too hard

    • Bug fixed with Body Flicker Distance being able to be overcapped

    • Bug fixed with Gaze of Fear not properly working(Yes it works now)

    • Bug fixed with Murder Crows not being moveable for some people



  • Buffs/Nerfs:

    • Fuuma's Chakra Blade Spiking ability now lasts slightly longer

    • Fuuinjutsu now slightly dissipitate faster(The time it takes that you're allowed to hit someone with it)

    • Oujou Rot given a longer cooldown but tick speed has been increased

    • Swamp tiles no longer overlap Kusakin Forests, and delete themselves accordingly

    • Leaf Taijutsu cooldowns have been increased slightly overall

    • Move Stopper Time decreased

    • Kaze no Yaiba given a range nerf

    • Zankuu Spiraling Sphere reduced in village morale cost to 100

    • Zankuu Spiraling Sphere slightly buffed in duration

    • Wind Trick now costs 3 Elemental Points instead of 4 Elemental Points

    • Kaze No Yaiba Tree:

      • Kaze no Yaiba Capacity Requirement Increased
      • Kakeami now costs 4 Elemental Points instead of 5 Elemental Points
      • Kakeami buffed in damage
      • DaiKamaitachi buffed in damage greatly(this jutsu is so bad omg lol)
      • DaiKamaitachi now costs 4 Elemental Points instead of 5 Elemental Points

    • Ryuuka Impact damage increased

    • Katon Houka Impact damage slighty increased

    • Katon Houka now takes 300 uses to master instead of 1000

    • Katon Housenka impact damage slightly increased

    • Reppushou should now deal slightly more damage(Due to it going through armor now like how katon and such do)

    • Wind Trails Slightly Buffed

    • Hikibou takes nearly half as many uses to master

    • Katon Tick Rate increased(This is katon in general..it really did go super slow...this is a change in case it becomes too overpowered and I'll know around what time I changed it)

    • Suiton Water Prison is slightly easier to get out of

    • Tajuu clones no longer carry over Doton Armor

    • Rising Earth Pillars given a slight damage nerf

    • Suiton Syrup Capacity Requirement Increased

    • Move Stopper Capacity Requirement Increased

    • All Rock Air Bender Scrolls Reduced in Price

    • Fuuinjutsu Control nerfed in power and duration





  • Miscellaneous:

    • Shurikens:
      -Just posting this here to elaborate a bit on the differences between the three types of Shurikens
      -Few bugs were fixed with Three Sided Shurikens and Eight Sided Shurikens
      -3 Sided Shuriken and 8 Sided Shuriken now work properly with Kiro's Shuriken Control
      Information On Them:
      -3 Sided Shuriken do slightly less damage but are slightly harder to deflect
      -8 Sided Shuriken do slightly more damage but are slightly easier to deflect

    • Musical Ninjutsu:
      -Skillcards Added
      -Coded a bit better in General to make being frozen consistent, and knocking out the person causes the musical ninjutsu to cancel
      -Song of Thunder:
      -Now makes you unaffected by leg Slice
      -No longer freezes the user if its used on a target
      -Should now properly make you always auto run
      -Time Reduced to balance this out a bit more
      -Other musical Ninjutsu should be able to work on multiple people now properly

    • Hydro Mode:
      -Scalpels no longer go through it
      -Chidori and Rasengan no longer go through it
      -Hydro Mode now goes through most Fuuton Jutsu

    • Kojiki:
      -You can no longer Guard while using Jashin Rituals
      -Jashin Rituals put other ones on a cooldown so you can't use them all at once
      -Two New Passives Added:
      -Sadism
      -Jashin's Blessing
      -Two New Jutsu Added:
      -Sadistic Torture: Severed Control
      -Sadistic Torture: Slit Wrists

    • Fuuma's Reaction passive now raises slightly faster

    • Fuuma's Chakra Blade now when Chakra Spiking the opponent gives a message to the Fuuma to let them

    • You can no longer learn shousen no matter your Control in Leaf village

    • Control Stat check added to Shousen to make sure you have the proper amount of Control stat to use it
