Name: Barthandelus(First Encounter) Game: Final Fantasy XIII Why?: This motherthanker casts doom on you so you have a time limit, he has a thank ton of health and 1 attack that can whoop your ass and tear your party appart. Name: Caius Ballad(First Encounter) Game: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Why?: This rascal hits like a truck. He also uses the paradigm system like you can and will switch classes and heals himself. Name: Cauis Ballad Game: Final Fantasy XIII-2: Requiem of the Goddess Self Imposed Challenge?: Beat him with a level 7 lightning Why?: To five star this guy and "beat" him is pure hell. You have to be quick to change paradigms because as stated before, hes a buddy. In his Bahamut form, he has one attack that thanks you up real bad and you gotta be quick to switch to the defense class. Name: Cauis Ballad Game: Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Why?: When ever you stagger this bastard, he gains resistance to the thing that staggered him. Its basically a guessing game with him. Other Notes: Notice how this guy has 3 F*CKING ENTRYS. Hes a pain in the ass. Name: Deus Game: Xenogears Why?: Hes the final boss. Oh and he tears your team apart. Video: Spoiler: click to toggle

Not really a boss fight that was hard... but the amount of time you had to win it in was impossible... Megaman Starforce 3 trying to beat all the bosses in under ten seconds when they are in their strongest form. What made this hard: It's impossible to win some of them in ten seconds >.> The only ones I managed to beat were Spade Magnus, Club Strong, Diamond Ice, and Queen Tia. Jack joker and evil Ace were way too hard to try and beat in ten seconds. thanking at 2800+ health and move too quick. |

The farther back in time I think the harder the bosses seemed to be. Most of you are even naming what is now remastered games. Try to name a hard boss that came out this year. Name: Any Boss Game: Any CoD Why was this boss hard?: It was a quick time event where I had to push one button within one minute. Anything Else: The cutscene afterward was harder to watch. |

Name of Boss: Marie Game: Skullgirls Self Imposed Challenge: Beat her with Ms. Fortune Why was this boss hard?: You can't do any combos on her. Every time you bring her health down a certain threshold, she explodes into a new more difficult form. Blocking is futile. In certain forms you can't tell where she will be attacking from so blocking will become much more difficult She deals a crap-ton of damage. |

Name of the boss: Terramorphous the Invincible Game?: Borderlands 2 Self imposed challenge: No healing weapons. Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. Solo. Why was this boss hard: Massive AoEs. He has a variety of attacks, all of which are capable of taking out your shield in one shot. He's also very fond of knocking you out of the arena (as in he knocked me out of the arena multiple fucking times). On UVH mode, all enemies get their health quadrupled. That means that it takes four times as long to kill him. He's also what is considered a raid boss, meaning you're actually supposed to fight him with a team of 4 people. I had a friend I was killing him with, but stupid shit happened (poor internet connection) and I wasn't able to finish him off and we died for it, so I decided I'd try to fight him myself. I've killed him plenty of times on True Vault Hunter Mode, but I decided it was time for him to die on Ultimate Vault Hunter mode. Anything else: His loot is shit, and Terramorphous is a jackass. |

The hardest boss that I can remember right now. Name: Silver Sonic & Death Egg Robot Game: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Self-imposed Challenge: Nope. No need. This was back when games didn't hold your hand 24/7 Why was this boss hard: This is where all those continues (1 Continue = 3 Lives) that you can easily get on earlier levels will come in handy. The Silver Sonic can be troublesome if you don't know where exactly his hitboxes are to bounce off of. He's not that bad once you get his pattern down, but the best way to deal with him is to take him down in the first 2 moments he opens himself, since he'll always initiate with the same 2 attacks; after that, he'll start switching it up. Then after this, you have a giant robot that you have to take down. The safest way to damage him is to hit his underbelly area, which will periodically be guarded by his claws. You'd also have to take car of not being crushed whenever he took a step, or after he jetpacks upward into the air and then slams back down, launching his class at you at a surprisingly fast speed. Another point; every boss up until this point takes 8 hits to beat. This one takes 16. Last and most important point, in case any of you may have forgotten: NO RINGS! This means if you slip up even once on either boss, you'll die and have to start the two boss fights all over again. Which is rather easy when you have to land a total of 24 attacks before you've won. And if you run out of continues? Welcome back to Emerald Hill Zone! Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCcY9HciQVc (Actually, rewatching the bosses makes me feel kinda bad, thinking about how much trouble I had with it. Lol.) P.S. After you've won this fight, you feel such a great sense of accomplishment (though this can probably be said be a lot of other bosses in this topic). This is because despite how hard or annoying the boss(es) may be, you overcame it with your own ability. I'm sad at how most of the current games completely lack this. |

I think I finally beat him after two months. But I was stuck on Armstrong for a long time. I would try every other couple of days for like an hour or two, then I'd put the controller down and turn the game off for another period of time lol. Seemed to help because instead of getting constantly frustrated, I learned to learn the sections of the battle perfectly trial by trial until I was able to beat him on my first try, because once you do it often; it's easy. |
