Pretty early release I guess. This was suppose to come out sometime in June. Just thought a topic about this chapter is well suited since its been on hiatus for nearly a year, if not longer.

This chapter sets up so much. The 5 calamities and that immortal disease. It all seems crazy.

So why even post the link in the first place? You make no sense.

Anyways.. This chapter confirms that Beyond Netero is indeed his son. Last chapter they made it seem like hes just posing as his son.

So we have the New Worlds gatekeeper that they have to go through to get the Dark Continent. And they have the 5 great calamities that they might have to fight, which they show in this chapter.
Spoiler: click to toggle

They even show how the people died from them. I'm guessing that each tube corresponds to one of the great 5 calamities. The Gas Life forms AI is the crushed up body. The 3 shrunken bodies is the Human Feeding Beast Papu. The Weapon Brion is the body with the missing head. And the last 2, the hand and the rope looking body is either the Immortal Disease or the Two-tailed Snake Hellbell
Spoiler: click to toggle

This chapter pretty much sums up how dangerous and crazy the Dark Continent is lol.

Everyone keeps hyping this thing up, but it's so foreign to me. Even if I enjoy anime, I just don't understand what's happening. It's a boy that becomes a fisherman that becomes a hero? Next thing you know people are telling me he's an adult with 20 feet length hair. Then I click that spoiler to see melted children, burned midget clowns, headless body with alien coming out of his groin and some mutated hand. 341 chapters, too.

Is it really that good?

I think its by far one of the best mangas out ongoing and completed. Probably behind Berserk, Vagabond and Gantz. In terms of art, it's not that great. There are a few chapters that seems very poorly drawn. The story line and all the different arcs though, and the dialogue seems to drive this manga up to the top spots. This manga is very intellectual, much more than the Big 3.

The characters are very different from your average manga. They is so many different and unique characters with unique personalities.

The main character, Gon, really isn't a fisherman per say. In the first arc he uses a fishing rod and he's pretty damn good with it. Which makes it unique since you never see anyone else in any other manga/anime with this weapon. He has the greatest determination out of any manga character out of any manga I've read or heard of.

I would highly recommend you to read this, Fallen.

One of the main reasons I like HxH is how from the very beginning, they've always averted the whole traditional, "This is the name of my power, this is exactly how it works, and these are it's strengths and weaknesses."

The only times you actually see a character tell others how their power works is when it's a necessary condition for the power to activate (Genthru's Bombs) or when it won't make a difference even if they do know how it works (Hisoka's Bungee Gum or they're already incapacitated). Other than that, it's either told to the audience through the narrator or from a third-party's inner thought.
